Amane is Mioshi's friend and former partner from Muyo(in Universe, it's Kiyone)and, assumingly aside form Yukinojo is the only person who can stand her simplniess aside from her mother. She also seems to have gained Mioshi's tact for doing something without acting and almost killed Seinan as their first meeting when she was coming to earth to visit her and mistook him for the imfamous Tenchi Mioshi was always talking about. Despite this fact she is very respected as an officer of the Galaxy Police and became Seinan's teacher, soon thereafter falling for him and wanting to be his girlfriend, even though she's much older than him; this causes her to have jealousy disputes with Erma/Ryoko-Balta and Kiniko occassionaly. She has a much more developed sense of fun unlike the other two and laughed openly when Seriyu found that his underwear were exposed during his "duel" with Seinan.
