Shu is mostly an easygoing guy who doesn't like people getting killed. Shu sure took alot of severe beatings when he got dragged into the alternate world after he met Lala Ruu. He see's not all people are bad. He was able to show Lala Ruu that.

Shu as he is called is a young boy who, after meeting Lalaru, is teleported to another world where he must fight for what he believes in. He believes deeply in what he believes in and oftern rushes recklessly into battle. He rescues Lalaru and takes her to safety.

Matsutuani Shuzo is a young, straightforward and sometimes stupid boy. While beeing very energetic and agile, sometimes also clumsy, his heart is pure and his moral code very strict. His, and only his willpower and stubborness in staying alive, save the world. His everyday trials in charging his kendo oponents, screaming 'men', and keepin on hitting, hitting and hitting without thinking (all to make a kendo girl look at him) is suddenely stopped by meeting a strange looking, very quiet girl. From now on, Shu finds himself in a vicous world of death and destruction, swallowed by war. Trying to go back to his own reality, Shu demonstrates, through his stubborness, an alternative way of living - without killing, without striking back in hatered adn without revange.
