He is Yang Kang's son. He always wanted to find out more abut his father from Guo Jing. Yang Guo always believed that his dad was a hero only to find out from one of Guo Jing's friends that Yang Kang betrayed Guo Jing. Yang Kang died after he was poisoned by Huang Rong's armor and he was eaten up by the crows.
Yang Guo is an ill-mannered urchin who is very playful at the beginning. He met Xiao Long Nu when he was young when he heard some harp sound from a cave.(Xiao Long Nu's much older than Yang Guo!) A few years later, Yang Guo met Xiao Long Nu again and became her student before they developed feelings towards each other.
Later, his arm was chopped off by Guo Fu. After that incident, he wandered around and saw a condor who was the condor of Lonesome Swordman. The condor taught him everything it knew and forced Yang Guo to face everything. Yang Guo married Xiao Long Nu later.

Or Yang Gou. He is the intelligent and spirited son of the notorious kung fu fighter, Yang Kang, and the hero in the story. At the age of 13, he becomes an orphan and is sent off to live with his surrogate uncle, Gou Jing, who helps open to him the kung fu way of life. He trains under several kung fu masters and when he meets Xiao Long Nu (Dragon Girl), he falls in love with her and decides to live only for her love.
