she is one smart cookie.Naru later in the seris has some serios feelings for keitaro.she gets jealous fast and doesnt like for keitaro to end up looking at her in some crazy places, but even she wont beileve that keitaro didnt try to look in that way.........but she still gets very mad

Naru Narusegawa is the main girl of the story and plays the love interest of Keitaro. She comes off most of the time as a beautiful and sweet young woman, but Keitaro seems to have a way to bring out the worst in her, often resulting in her punching him literally into the air. She seems to be the voice of reason in the Hinata House, but sometimes her requests for the insanity that's going on to stop often goes unheeded, much to her exasperation. Her best friend since Jr. High has been Kitsune, though sometimes she becomes highly annoyed with her to any point short of actually striking her. Although she does not want to admit it at first, Naru finds herself falling in love with Keitaro almost on the day he arrives, for which she gets much ribbing from Kitsune. Naru, however, seems to suffer from jealousy whenever Keitaro is nice to the other girls in any manner, often taunting him about wanting to be with the girl the story focuses on mostly. Long ago she had a crush on her tutor Seta, and it seemed to remained with her when he enters the storyline to provide Keitaro with a rival.
Naru seems to "share" Tama with Shinobu and Keitaro, though the turtle was a gift from Mutsumi to her.
To detour boys from wanting to date her, Naru dresses rather unappealingly.
In the Anime:
A running gag is Naru striking him with her signature "Naru Punch", which can send him flying and her being the most frequent girl he walks in on when she's dressing. She is also the object of affection of Kentaro, someone who seems the exact opposite of Keitaro, though even though Kentaro claims on more than one occasion to have been her past boyfriend, she barely remembers (or even tolerates) him, but has only punched him once.
In the Manga:
Naru goes through much more hell than in the manga, during the MolMol Arc, especially being held captive by an amorous Su as plans to use her as bait to lure Keitaro out of hiding. She also sides with Kanako more and more in terms of feelings when the girl arrives and has more than one brawl with her when Kanako learns the truth.

Naru Narusegawa is a typical fickle minded girl who has difficulty in expressing her true inner feelings for Keitaro. She is intelligent and is quite violent when mad. Eventually she learns to love Keitaro for what he is and lives happily together with him even if she knows they are opposite in nature.

Naru Narsegawa hates perverts and beats up Keitaro everytime he does something perverted even if he doesn't mean to. She has been alone for most of her life because everyone keeps leaving her and forgetting about her and she thinks they all don't love her. She has a huge crush on Seta, her old tutor and falls in love with Keitaro.
