Aina Saharin is the first daughter of the Saharin family, a noble house in Zeon that fell from grace. Though she wasn't in the military establishment, she is a test pilot thanks to his brother's influence. In order to help his brother's research, Aina came to Earth to serve as his Asparas project's test pilot.
Aina first met 2Lt. Shiro Amada in battle and stranded on a derelict warship. Though the time was short, she developed a liking for her. The next time they met was on Earth's Asian Front, and once again stranded together, this time on a snow-covered mountain range.
As much as she loved his ill-strucken brother Ginias, Aina witnessed his obsession to the project had driven him diabolically insane, to the point that when Aina pled to him to give up when the cause was clearly a lost one, Ginias shot her instead. Saved by Shiro, Aina helped to put an end to his brother's madness.
After the battle, she disappeared with Shiro. When she was found after the war, Aina was living with Shiro, and was clearly pregent.
