The samurai known as Demon Eyes Kyo, a true samurai, was known as the slayer of a thousand men. He was a ruthless samurai, killing for the pure pleasure of it during the Battle of Seikegahara. He had one goal-to become the strongest. His only true enemy that was actually to his level of skill, possibly even stronger than himself was none other than Mibu Kyoshiro.
When a meteor hit the battle, supposedly caused by the Mibu clan itself, Kyoshiro and Demon Eyes Kyo disappeared. Kyoshiro took Demon Eyes Kyo's body and hid it deep within the Sea of Trees and suppressed Demon Eyes Kyo's soul within himself, only to be awakened four years later, with both of their memories gone.
Now, he fights off Mibu Kyoshiro for control of his body and travels with a small group that he calls his servants. He searches for his body and in the process, even conjures up a soft side for Shiina Yuya, but his fighting skill is unmatched and his character has barely changed within the past four years, and his goal remains the same- to become the strongest samurai.

Demon eyes kyo at first is this tough man slayer,who everyone fears and for good reason.he seems quick tempered at times but he's not.he does not take well with people who dont know how to watch there tongue.to others it seems he only cares for himself but thats not true he cares for his friends(but he sees them all as servant except for two of them from his past)and the title of "the strongest".

He killed over 1000 people, but still not the strongest compared to Kyoshiro. He is ruthless, and seems to enjoy killing, thus resulting the 1 million ryo bounty on his head. He has red eyes, and a dark red hair on his original body. In most of the movie he is still in Kyoshiro's body.
