Hatake Kakashi is naruto,sakura and sasuke's sensei.He is famous with the name Sharingan Hatake Kakashi or Copy Ninja Kakashi.He is quite strict but always act like a moron.The Sharingan's eye he have (his left eye) were given by his comrade,Uchiha Obito on his first mission as a jounin.He always arrive late everytime he make a promise with his students.Most people says that he is late because he were mourning his best friend,Obito who died cause want to save kakashi's life.

Origin of Kakashi's Sharingan:
Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura wondered why Kakashi possesses the Sharingan when he's not a member of the Uchiha clan.
The Sharingan eye that Kakashi has was transfered surgically when he first became a Jounin at 12.
Back when Kakashi was a Genin, his teammates were Uchiha Obito, a member of the Uchiha clan and a kid that was like Naruto back then and Rin, a medical ninja who was much like the Sakura before. Kakashi was a genius student and always picked on Obito. While they were on a mission in Rock Country, Rin was captured by some ninjas. Kakashi told Obito that they should continue the mission and just leave Rin but Obito told him that people who break the rules are trash but people who don't help their friends are worse. Obito goes off to Rin, when Kakashi realizes this he runs after Obito. When the Rock nin threw a kunai at Obito who was too slow to react, Kakashi jumped in front of him wounding his left eye. The rock nin suddenly performs a technique and a boulder rolls towards Kakashi, Obito pushed him out of the way and his right side gets crushed, mortally wounding him. As a final gift to Kakashi as being promoted to Jounin, Obito offered his Sharingan eye to him and Rin transfered it to Kakashi's useless left eye just as Obito died.
To this day, Kakashi still blames himself for Obito's death. He still carries Obito's principle that people who break rules are trash but people who don't help their friends are worse. He passes this on to his young Genins that teamwork is important.
Spoiler: Kakashi also develops the Mangekyou Sharingan but different from Itachi's in the latest Naruto manga series.

Hatake Kakashi, also known as the copy ninja "Sharingan" Kakashi. Since the Uchiha clan was killed and only 2 known survivors of the clan exist, Kakashi is one of the people alive who can use the sharingan. Although he is not of the Uchiha clan, he can use the sharingan well and is in high regards in the bingo book of Nin hunters as the ninja who mastered a thousand jutsus.
During he's years as a genin, he was the no.1 rookie of his time and known as a genius shinobi. He took the chunin exam at the age of six, 6 years younger than Naruto and Sasuke. He was also one of the Genins under the Junin guidance of the fourth Hokage together with Rin and Uchiha Obito whom he got his sharingan from.
He is now Naruto's group leader and Junin in charge of team 7 consisting of Haruno Sakura, Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke.

hatake kakashi is also my fav character! in all of the episodes i've watched hes never tooken off his mask.but how he got the sharingan eye i know! in a mission one of kakashi's teammates rin was captured,and his friend obito uchiwa (part of sasuke's clan)wanted to help. but kakashi rememberd there sensai's fate and at first said no, then when obito left kakashi relizied ninja cannot live without emotion and followed after obito. they rescued rin but obito got crushed by a boulder and kakashi lost his left eye... as a parting gift obito told rin to take his sharingan eye and implant it in kakashi's socket.after this rin and kakashi completed the mission, kakashi became the famouse "copy ninja" and i don't know what happened to rin.bye!
