Ban, together with Ginji, make a living as the Dakkanya (Retrieval Service) known as the GetBackers. It’s a dangerous business where the pay hardly justifies the risk, but Ban’s pride as a GetBacker will not allow him to succumb to getting a part-time job. Fortunately, the GetBackers manage to attract some fairly wealthy customers, thanks in part to their very well-endowed mediator, HEVN. Unfortunately, Ban has an unhealthy habbit of parking in tow-zones, resulting in having to spend all of their hard-earned money on parking tickets.
Although the Dakkanya exists for retrieving peoples’ important items, Ban is certainly no boy scout; he’s a brash, cocky, cheeky, rude, skirt-chasing, chain-smoker. And as if being the most insufferable braggart to walk the planet isn’t enough, Ban actually has something to brag about; being strong, clever, worldly-wise, artistic - he plays the violin! - and charismatic, he can back up every word. In fact, the only skill in which Ban doesn’t seem to excel is making good first impressions, which is reflected upon anyone he comes in contact with. But like most leading men, he has a hard-shell complex , and complex he is! There are few people for which Ban has shown his softer side.
Very little is known about Ban’s past, except that he was in a group with Himiko Kudo and her older brother, Yamato, before meeting Ginji. However, due to Yamato’s death, the group was dispersed. Exactly how and when Ban met Ginji is also unknown, only that he encountered Raitei first, and the two battled it out before becoming friends. Since then, Ginji has become extremely important to Ban.

Ban Mido, along with Ginji Amano make up the Getbackers retrieval agency. A man many refer to as the Genius of Battle. He is the master of many strange fighting techniques, his trump card being the Evil Eye, the ability to make anyone see an illusion of his crafting. Ban’s past is mysterious, but Himiko Kudo, a transporter, wants to see him dead for the murder of her brother. Ban met Ginji inside the Mugenjou (Infinite Fortress) and Ginji decided to leave with him to form the Getbackers.

Ban Mido is one of the main character in the anime series, GetBackers. He is Ginji's partner in their job which is retrieving their clients' lost items. Their motto is "If it's stolen, we'll get it back."
Ban has incredible powers. First is his Evil Eye or "Jagan". He can make illusions for his victims using it. He can only use this 3 times a day. His grasping power is 200kg. He also has his technique which is called "Snake Bite".

Ban Mido is one of the wackiest, worldly-wise, calculating, wise GetBacker with a twist. He has the power in his sleeve. His deadly 200kg Snakebite grip can hit the enemy or more and throw him or them away and his Jagan or the Mythical Evil-eye which give the enemies the hallucinatory illusions in just one minute. Although the Evil eye has an effect, it cannot use at the same person and it is the limit of 3 evil eyes at 24 hours. If he does not following according to the instruction, he will put his life in danger. Of course if he used up 3 Jagans at the Makubex Saga, the last Jagan is used as the last resort to save him despite he had a wound at his shoulder or any part. Shido called him Hebi-yarou because he fought and used his Evil Eye like a snake. The Ophiuchus incantation of Ban's Snakebite is the empowered Snakebite which he use the power of Ophiuchus, the snake carrier, a constellation and it is rumored as the 13th sign of the Zodiac. It is best for the WWE if Ban Mido was registered as a wrestler and he can use The Viper choke slam on Kane, Triple H, JBL, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar etc. He can add Ginji Amano as a tag team partner against the Evolution, The Dudley Boys, La Resistance and other opponents, but that was a JOKE!

He can be a star in the commercial of ASTRO! Astro cigarettes!!!
Hint: according to the Colliers Encyclopedia, Ophiuchus enters the sun at late November up to December creating a 20 day-period.
