MakubeX is a young computer genius of Mugenjyô(the Infinite Fortress). One of the former Four Kings of the Volts under the Raitei (Thunder Emperor), Amano Ginji.

When MakubeX was still and infant, he was stuffed in a gym bag labeled with his last name "Makube". It was the closet thing to his name he could ever find out. MakubeX was found by Rando Gensui, an old man who ran a pharmacy at Infinite Fortress. Gensui taught MakubeX how to use computers and surpassed him so quickly.
MakubeX because one of the 4 kings because of his amazing intelligance. An "X" was added to "Makube" to signify the unknown boundary to his intellect and perhaps some of the fear it inflicts.
He admired Ginji very much, but when Ginji left the VOLTS, it was hard for Maku to adjust. Once Ginji left, MakubeX became the new leader of the VOLTS.

MAKUBEX is without question a genius. He tends to be thoughtful on a very deep and intrinsic level, perhaps thinking things through too much; he can become so devoted to finding the answers to his questions that he sometimes forgets about individual people. He can, and will, calculate the probability of anything -- with his computers, MAKUBEX is unstoppable. As a person he is rather soft-spoken and honest in his secretive way, and feels very passionately about things, although he hides that beneath a cool and unconcerned facade. Few people truly understand him.
One of the former Four Kings of the VOLTS, and as the only remaining member, he became the leader of Mugenjou more or less by default, although he very quickly established a Stalin-esque reign of suspicion and terror over all who served him. Nothing happens inside Mugenjou that MAKUBEX is not aware of... Having begun to unravel the secrets contained within the tower, MAKUBEX feels that he and all the people of Infinite Castle are merely living according to the whims and decisions of some higher power within Bablyon City, without free will. In an attempt to defy their rule, he has formed his own New Four Kings, and is building a nuclear bomb with which to blackmail the above: set Mugenjou free, or we'll all die together. MAKUBEX can do some truly amazing things with computers, but his true abilities are unknown as of yet...

Very smart and highly educated. His calculations are exact to the finest detail.He was abandoned as a child and on the bag as makube he then added and X and that makes his name....his past is dark and mysterious. He's made a plan and will play it out even at the cost of his fellows and companions
