She is Akio's sister, meant to be sacrified by him to recover Dios's power. At the beginning she seems not to have an will of her own, BUT in the last series we see that she want to be free of Akio and of all the people that want her power. Her only friend is Utena, who made Anthy free of all and everything. She is very feminine, and the boys are falling in love with her, thats why the girls usually hate her.She seems to depend of Akio,and she was punishing herself until Utena showed her that she had sufferd enough. In the last episode she leaves her glasses(symbol of freedom) and she goes to search Utena, this shows that Utena's sacrifice was not useless.Also in the last episodes we found out that Utena wanted to become a prince beacause she was going to save Anthy from her suffer and not beacause she wanted to be like her prince.
