Morganna is actually "The World" itself, and Aura is its child. Auras job was to delete parts of "The World" when it was defected then improve on it. But instead when Morganna found out her purpose she tried to keep Aura being awakened but instead she tried to make Aura evil with Tsukasa's help. (.hack//sign)
Aura a mysterious girl being chased by a stick guy with a red wand named Skeith. She gave the Twighlight Bracelet to Orca (Kite's friend) but he was data drained while trying to fight Skeith. The Twighlt Bracelet was then handed down to Kite. Aura chose him to help her defeat "The Wave". Which is all the bosses in the game.(.hack//Infection, .hack//Mutation .hack//Outbreak .hack//Quarantine)
Aura.. not much is known about this person in this series except that she gave the bracelet to Shuugo (which i get mixed up with up with =( Kite). It shows that Balmung seems to know about Aura but nothing is revealed in the series except that she was a part of a certain "incident".

Aura... she's a cute little girl and sweet... she had appeared in .hack//sign and the .hack games... Tsukasa was the one who awoke her pure form in .hack//sign... Morganna was the one who wanted to awake her warped form... she is tied to the Twilight Bracelet... she gave it to Kite and now Shugo...

Aura is very mysterious (and a bit creepy), and not much is known about her, she doesn't show up a lot.
