Kyu is the main character in the series. His over-optimistic nature is what makes him so special. Though he's usually blur and say silly stuff, when it comes to detective work he proves himself to be a genius without realizing it himself. He's still a naive boy but cares alot for his friends.

Kyu dreams of because of what happened when he was a kid. He got kidnapped and a certain detective saved him. Since then he's dreamed of becoming a detective. He's in class Q along with Meg(Megumi), Kazuma, and Kinta.
