"An elusive character. A masked man with a seemingly light hear, Chichiri is a mystery. He can turn super-deformed and later be very serious. He's the most neutral character of the seven Celestial Warriors of Suzaku. If Tamahome and Hotohori are the obvious leaders of the warriors, Chichiri is the man manipulating from the shadows. He's the power behind the throne, and he always helps out. (You could also call him the adult who looks after the kids.) He can use many techniques that Tai Yi-Jun taught him. He is unconcerned with his own mortality. He has become much like a typical Zen master with his abandonment of earthly desires."

Chichiri is a monk with a very sad past, and because of it he keeps a scar on his left eye so that he will never forget. People got uncomfortable being around him because of it so that's why he wears a mask making him apear to always be smiling. He is usually very happy and will always comfort someone when they are down.
