She lost both her parents when she was little. She was thus adopted into the Asakura family. She was raised as a sister to Junichi. She's not physically strong, and frequently has slight fevers, so Junichi often is concerned about her well-being. She's quite popular in school, but that's only because of her outward appearance and attitude. The ones she reveals to Junichi alone are another story altogether.
Likes: Accessories, cute shoes, cucumber sandwiches.
Dislikes: Japanese confections*, hamburgers, laziness.
Even though they're related, there's a strong bond (somewhat different from that of family) between her and Junnichi, so Sakura's arrival and various mishaps drive her insane. The bells tied around her neck are a signature of Nemu.
* There's a big reason for this in the 19th episode.
