She's a childhood friend of Junichi and Nemu, and is Junichi's cousin. When they were little she had moved to America, but one day she suddenly returns. Although she has a childlike appearance and personality, she possesses a mind that rivals many a genius. She's hooked on Japanese culture, and has a hint of a genuine Tokyo to her speech.
Likes: "Passionate teacher" dramas (it's an Asian thing, I think), historical plays, Japanese confections, cat food (probably for Utamaru, not her).
Dislikes: Being treated like a kid, green bell peppers (I second that), carbonated drinks.
Her stature hasn't changed much since Junnichi last saw her, so he at first doesn't believe that she's the Sakuranbo (his nickname for her) he knew when he was little. Always bright and cheery, she has a way of finding the silver lining in the clouds.
Although she views Nemu as a rival interest, she does deeply care about everyone around her (including, of course, Nemu) and would never wish them harm. The undying cherry blossoms are tied to her grandmother's power, which serves to look after Sakura's interests.
