Rakushun

Rakushun is a half-beast, which is possible since babies are born from the fruits of a sacred tree, not from a mother. Parents pray to the god Tantei to be given children from the tree. Therefore, if a parent picks the wrong fruit, it is possible that a half-breed will be created. Rakushun, whose mother is human, is a mouse and a man, at will.

At first, Youko does not trust him, but through adversity and then separation and reunion, they become very close friends. Rakushun becomes a student in the foreign kingdom of En, which he could not have become in his home kingdom, due to discrimination against his half-beast status.
