Azmaria has led a difficult life - her real parents died, she lived with a struggling orchestra for some time before they were all killed, and then she was adopted by a madman names Ricardo Hendric who wanted to use her for her apostlic powers. In the manga, Hendric attempted to use Azmaria's powers to open the astrallines and put his wife's soul back in her re-created body. Unfortunately, they changed this plot line in the anime and created a major loophole. In the anime, Ricardo himself was once blown to pieces but his demonic servant Leraje (forgive me if i spelled it wrong it's an irritating name to remember) is using his powers to hold him together (LOOPHOLE: how can a demon sustain the life of their contractor if the demon's powers are fueled by the contractor's life?) but Leraje is beginning to fail him and so he needs Azmaria to open the astrallines so that he can be restored.
Ricardo's plan fails and Azmaria ends up in the choir at Rosette's convent. Now she travels with Rosette, aspiring to be like her, and trying to help her whenever she can.
In the manga, Azmaria almost appears to be physically attracted to Rosette and I have heard that later on in the anime she is like that with Satella but I really wouldn't know.

a girl who admire rosette and wish to become as strong as rosette.an orphan who was at the beggining been taken by an evil family who don't treat her as a part of the family but a servent. she use up all her power to heal people untill she can't use it anymore.

a messenger from god who has incredible powers which were given to her by virgin mary she has the power to give life to people she is kind and becomes part of the church she has a beautiful voice and becomes a part of the church choir
