Karen (Karen? "Lovely one")
Sweet and gentle, Karen appears to be an interesting contradiction of older and younger sister. She is a very skilled pianist but still refers to herself in the third-person. In the magazine stories and mini-novels, Karen owns a kitten named Vanilla (who, incidentally, has a thing for vanilla flavored sweets)

Apparently the heroine of the anime and the one truly in love with her big brother and is really sweet, which makes it really dissapointing that she and Wataru cannot be together that way. Karen really loves her brother and always wants to be with him for the rest of her life like Chikage, Sakuya and Haruka and also talked him out of leaving Promise Island.
Karen is rumored to be Wataru's only blood-related sister, which makes her attraction to him even more awkward than those of the other sisters, but truly sweet when you look at it closer than regular "little-sister-attracted-to-big-brother" types of story.
She normally keeps her affection for him to herself but once when they were out together when they were looking for a certain type of lightbulb she became so happy that she hugged him and two men assumed they were an item, which she asked him later if they looked like one.

Karen is the other main character other than Wataru. She's kind and gentle. She plays the piano and could she be the girl of Wataru's past???

Karen might not the eldest girl, but she's the de-facto lead character in the Sister Princess franchise. Gentle and kind, Karen is very affectionate to her 'Onee-chan', to the point want to be his bride (yes, she knew that's impossible).
Karen also takes care of the younger sisters (especially Hinako and Aria) whenever they go out.
