Dias may seem cold and kind of stiff at first sight but he's like that for a reason. He's actually gentle and protects those he loves and he's quite capable of it too because he's one of the best swordsmen with no flaws at all in his skills.

Dias is an old friend of Rena's, and one of Expel's most gifted swordsmen. He appears from time to time along Rena's travels, and every time she tries to recruit him to her cause, but every time he holds out. Dias's past is as tragic as Rena's, and he hides a deep fear that he may let her down just as he let his family down...
Dias is a strong, silent type. Only Rena is close enough to be allowed to know what he really feels, as he cares for her as deeply (and secretly) as she does for him. (AWWwwwwwwwww.... well, it's more of a little-sister-big-brother thing..unfortunately...) He comes across as cold and unfeeling, but in reality he is the exact opposite. It is his fear of failure and loss that prevent him from being more open. At first he is bitter rivals with Claude, but eventually comes to have a great respect for him as a fighter and a friend. While he does have very strong feelings for Rena, Chisato's energetic personality draws him to her, and he just might end up better with her. (He obviously likes Nedian chicks!) He does not like Ashton at all and barely tolerates Celine and Precis. He gets along ok with Bowman and Ernest.
Dias rounds out the list of top three most powerful fighters. Only Claude is stronger, and he is about on equal level with Ashton as far as power goes. Like Ashton, he isn't very proficeint in any one skill, and what few he does manage to be good at aren't as good as other party members. However, if you are playing as Rena, and you want another excellent fighter in your team, don't pass up your chance to recruit him!
