The only person that Lucy did not kill during her escape, he is kind to Nana and treat her as her daughter, but her real daughter will be revealed later on the series!

Kurama had a wife and a daughter. His daughter was Mariko. She was to be killed but her life was spared. He adopted Nana as his dead daughter (who wasn't dead) and saved her life by sending her away. In the end he goes back to Mariko and dies on the bridge with her

He's the co-honcho of the place where they kept Lucy and Nana. He treats Nana like his dead daughter, but treats Lucy like a killer.
