Sum Up: Kagome is a girl from the future, 500 years to be exact. Untill recently she was a normal 9th grade school girl. But on her 15 birthday, she was pulled into the well wehn he fat cat Buyo happened to wander in. A demon called, Mistress Centipede wants the Shikon-No-Tama from Kagome, which is embedded in Kagome's side. She mets Inuyasha against a tree, pinned from the miko (priestess) Kikyou. Kagome frees him, with her uknown powers nad he saves her. She soon shatters the jewel after that, making her visit an adventure, that would bring pain, sorrow, happiness, a new found love, and new friends.

Description: In the manga she has blue eyes, that's about the only change. In the anime, she has brown eyes, raven black hair.
Powers: Sacred Arrows- these arrows purify an demons, but are techinically powerless against humans.
So to say the only reason for Kagome's powers are because she is the reicnaration of the dead mikp Kikyou. Explaining how the Shikon-No_tama was in her body, (Kikyou was buried with the jewel) and also why Inuyasha is weary and likes her.
