One of the main characters; Misuzu Kamio is a strange girl, who takes supplemental classes during the summer. On the verge of become with friends with someone, she bursts into tears, which keeps everyone away from her. She is always lonely, but at the same time, always smiling and searching for happiness. Later in the series, it is reviled that she has a mysterious illness that doctors cannot diagnose. She longs to go to the Ocean, and loves to stare at the sky. She has dreams that she flies, as well. She is a big fan of Dinosaurs, and has come up with the phrase, "Gao" that she has used since she was young. This certain phrase is her example of a dinosaur and she uses the word whenever she is put on the spot, or is about to cry.

Misuzu is a very sweet girl that just loves dinosaurs. When she was little she thought when a chicken grows up it will become a dinosaur. She is very playful and has a thing of saying "Gao". Everytime she says that Yukito hits her on the head. She believes that someday her self will live in happiness.
