Momoi Ai (Futakoi Alternative ver.); some spoilers:
Momoi Ai is a relatively upbeat woman with a background in being a high school teacher. She is more lighthearted and playful than her sister, apparently also being quite skilled in rock-paper-scissors. However, Ai is actually a very tragic character, with undercurrents of neverending regret undercutting her efforts to be carefree.
Once upon a time - more specifically, three years ago - Ai became a teacher at Hinashi Senior High, a private school in Futagotamagazawa. Rentarou was a senior back then, and he struck up a good triangular friendship with Ai and Mai, the latter being the school counselor and doctor.
Even though Ai never got the hang of understanding the art of being a coffee connoisseur (to this day, she cares not whether she's drinking a can of Emerald Mountain or a random mocha blend), she grew closer to Rentarou than her sister, and at some point or another, she likely declared her love for him, which prompted a cascade of disasters. Whether that speculation is true or not, the point is that Ai and Mai both let go of Rentarou.
Ai tries to bury this tragedy beneath her usual exterior, but spending another day with Rentarou under the pretense of searching for her lost cell phone evokes a nostalgia for a time that she can never reclaim.
[How to tell the twins apart: Mai wears fuschia/purple glasses while Ai does not. Otherwise, they have identical eyes and hair, and although Mai seems to prefer skirts while Ai is only shown wearing jeans, Ai and Mai do have similar to identical wardrobes.]
