When Kohei was little, he lost his mother. She told him she was going out for errands, and would be back. But she never did come back. She was declared dead six months later. Kouhei has been mad about it for a long time, and thinks she abandoned him.
Kouhei comes from a family of psychics, who all have the ability to see and sense ghosts. All except for him, that is.
Kouhei can't see them, hear them, sense them, or anything else. He is completely immune to any spells or curses, or their attempts to frighten him. Although, there is one talent he does have. Every time he takes a picture, there's always a ghost or something in it. So, he works for a paranormal magazine as a photographer.
While on a trip to Germany for an article for the magazine, he discovers a beautiful young girl living in the castle, named Hazuki. She seemed innocent, and cute, but there was something about her...
Then she tried to make him her slave... that was when he discovered what she was truly like; your average bratty teen.

Kouhei is a photographer who photographs ghosts/spirits/souls for a supernatural magazine. His extreme insensitivity towards spiritual/supernatural things renders him nearly invulnerable to them. In other words, he's spiritually/supernaturally "thick-headed". Therefore he's impervious to Hazuki's mind control. He lives with his grampa.
