Coud van Giruet is a young orphan, who was found by the boss of the Red Lynx, a group of Sky Pirates. Coud is still a rookie, but he has a strong will, a big mouth and the believe that he can do anything. When he meets Ren (Reverie Metherlence), he promises her to take her to the Garden of Eden, the place that she must go to. On the way he learns a lot, and becomes a kind and cool hero instead of a big mouthed rookie. He controls a gusari (a grappling hook used for battle) to protect Ren, and if he can't do it alone, Ren can change into a big wind sword to aid him. (There's more to that last fact, but that would be a spoiler ;p)
