She is mother to Seimei and Ritsuka.
She is absolutely hystaric about Ritsuka's memoryloss two years ago,since it also altered Ritsuka's personality.
She likes to test him in all kinds of ways (to see if the old Ritsuka is coming back) and when Ritsuka fails she berates and abuses him.This is why Ritsuka is always injured somewhere.
Apparently she isn't very happily married to Ritsuka's father,as she comments he is "a useless person"
She also says that Seimei was supposed to take her and Ritsuka away from him,but that it's not possible now that Seimei is dead.
Despite the misey his mother puts him through,Ritsuka loves her very much and holds no true grudges.
In the Manga Soubi tells Ritsuka it would be best if Ritsuka left and Misaki died.But Ritsuka gets very angry and says he needs her to just be there and he can't leave her because in a way she needs him too.
