Peter Abel Nightroad is the main charater in 'Trinity Blood'. He had made a promise not to kill anyone to pay off his past sins even if it ment for him to die. Abel is a priest and a Crusnik Vampire, meaning he drinkd Vampire blood and Only Vampire blood. He protecs humans. However, he is also part of
"Ax", a special operations group controlled
by the Cardinal Catherina. His encounter
with a young girl called Esther will
determine the struggle and survival between
the human race and the vampires.

Abel Nightroad is one very unusual character. He describes himself as a traveling priest from the Vatican, but one never knows what to expect from him. One minute he's a sensible mature member of the clergy and the next.....he's acting almost childlike. One things for sure, he is a very kind man that wishes to see both humans and vampires co-exist. An extreme aspect of his personality comes into light when a situation becomes desperate and lives are at stake. At that time, the good Father Nightroad transforms into the beast-like Kresnik, a creature that sucks the blood of vampires. It is, however, always Abel's preference to settle things peacefully making this transformation a last resort.

Abel Nightroad (Codename: Crusnik) : A Catholic priest who seems to be nothing more than a clumsy, absent-minded fool on the surface. In truth, he is a Crusnik, a vampire of extreme power. But despite his strength, he adheres to a principle of pacifism and often refuses to outright kill his opponents.

A crusnik,a creature that has the ability to suck vampires' blood to aquire power,that is working under AX.It seems that he has a very painful and sinful past that made him swore not to ever take anyone's life.Despite the pain he's suffering from,he's very carefree and goofy.He also cares a lot for the people around him and always trying his best to protect his friends.
It also seems that he has a special relationship with Sister Esther,but they still remain as friends till the very end.
