Mikoto is a girl who was found in the waters by Mai. She acts like a cat and loves cats. She often skips school to play with cats. She is also a hime and wields a large sword.. thats bigger than her in fact. Mikoto travels to the Land of Fuka to find her brother whom she addresses as ANI-UE((meaning older brother)). She automatically dorms with Mai and is admitted to the Fuka academy. She doesn't like to wear bras or skirts. But she loves Mai's cooking and seeing Mai happy. We do not see her child until the end of the series.

Minagi Mikoto was in the beginning a very mysterious person. After she was safed by Tokiha Mai, she stayed at Tokiha's place. The main reason for this is because she loves the food Mai makes.
In the whole serie she looks for the brother called Ani-ue. In the end she finds him.
Mikoto doesn't know a lot of love, because she loves everybody. Most of the time she moves around like some sort of cat. Her relationship with Mai is really interesting. Don't think of this like it's some cheap lesbian relationship, they are just like best friends. When Mai is happy, Mikoto is also happy. When Mai smiles, Mikoto smiles. And when Mai is crying, Mikoto is also sad.
Mikoto is one of the (I believe) 12 HiME's. Her child doesn't show up until the series almost end. The weapon she uses is a huge 2-Handed Sword. Well, that's about it.
