Usui Kenta, close friend of Karin Maaka. Kind and courageous to a fault, it is usually his helpfulness that gets him into strange situations, such as dealings with a classmate that is actually a vampire (Karin Maaka). Recognized solely for his piercing gaze, it soon becomes evident that hardship has shaped his outlook on life. Can be characterized as serious and a bit too quiet. He later becomes the love interest of Karin, due to his sincerity in his words and his undying loyalty to his friends.
He lives alone with his mother in a small flat. Besides school, he also takes a job at a local family restuarant, where Karin happens to work at as well. Is known to have rather strong bouts of unhappiness, and is severely addicted to Karin's well-made box lunches.

Usui Kenta is a really good hearted guy who lives with his mother alone. He just arrives the neighberhood when all those weird things starting to take place. After he gets involved with Karin, He accidently discovers her secret and help her in any way he can (Hopefully he's inlove with her ^^").
