Kurogasa

During the Meiji Revolution he was a hitokiri in the service of the Shinsen Gumi. Due to his bloodthirsty nature, however, the Shinsen Gumi tried to have him killed. But he simply killed the assassins they sent after him. In the years following, Jin-E made a game of killing corrupt government officials for sport. He would announce his target and the day/time of his attack. Then, he would kill the official, as well as any police, guards, or bystanders in his way. During this period he was referred to most often as "Kurogasa" in reference to the black hat he wore. His killing streak ended with his duel with Kenshin Himura, during which he fell to Kenshin's sword-and-sheath battoujutsu and had his sword arm permanently mangled. He subsequently killed himself.
