A demon hunter, Sango lost her whole village, including her father and comrades to Naraku. She would have also been one of them, if not for the shard Naraku lent in order for her to kill Inuyasha, the one she thought attacked her town. She joined their party soon enough, after finding out that she had been tricked, exacting revenge, and is pursuing to regain her little brother, who became one of Naraku

Sango is the eldest of two children, the younger being a boy. Both are trained demon slayers from a village of demon slayers. Her village is hired to destroy a demon troubling a noble’s household, during the battle the demon takes control of Sango’s younger brother and uses him to destroy all the slayers. Sango is later pitted against Inuyasha and the others believing that Inuyasha is behind the destruction of her village and everyone she knows. She’s made to realize that she was tricked and decides to join the search for the jewel shards. She has a pet demon kitten that travels with her and the rest of the gang.
She becomes good friends with Kagome, as they are both strong independent women of about the same age. Sango is a great fighter, using her large boomerang like weapon to for deadly aerial attacks from her cat’s back. She has an extensive knowledge of demons and generally the best way to fight them. Inuyasha often counts on Sango to protect Kagome when the group is separated.

A young demon exterminator lost her father and comrades during a strange accident occurring during one of their mission to exterminate a demon in a nobleman’s mansion. Her little brother was killed by the nobleman’s guards because he killed his own father and friends and was ready to strike at the nobleman. Sango was also attacked as the guards thought she was here to assassinate the leader. Her little brother jumped in front of her and died while she held him tightly to her as more spears went down on them. Sango had a strong spirit and digged herself out of the ground. As she slowly healed herself, she heared news that her village was destroyed by the half Demon Inu Yasha., She wanted revenge, but in the end they became allies after knowing the truth what really happened.

A demon slayer whose younger brother Kohaku was taken over by Naraku. Sango has a demonic cat named Kilala or known as (Kirara-in Japan). She follows the half demon Inuyasha around. She holds the Hiraikotsu-(large demon bone weapon)and a Spider shaped scar on her back. She is like an older sister to Kagome. She also has a crush on the perverted monk Miroku, but doesn't like to show it.
