His name is actually Terashima Nobuo, everyone calls him Nobu. I don't know where 'Shibu' came from, it was never used in the anime, nor the manga.
He's Nana's 1st friend in high school, and he introduced her to Ren and Yasu. The 4 of them formed the band, Black Stones or 'Blast' later. He is the guitarist and composer of the band.
He is a kind and a bit naive sort of guy, because he comes from a rich family that owns a ryoukan back in his hometown.
Nobu later develops feelings for Hachi, but their romance failed to blossom further due to circumstances... It's a sad period...

Nobu is the name. He's a kind hearted guy who plays the bass guitar in Blast. He falls in love with Hachi but sadly their love isn't all that happy.
