L is a very smart man but he died too early. But it was good cause he gave he clues to higher people. So they can get the real kiara. So then he can be stoped but he is very smart. And he let everybody know about the notebook and that helped them a lot. And they had a good klead about it but made it harder for kiara.

Refered to L, is rated the worlds greatest detecetive and is somewhat the leader of the Kira investigation group. Since L first met Light(Raito) he has been suspecting him as 'Kira'. But sadley did not have proof enough to say Light was Kira. Even when the evidence stated Light was not Kira he still believed on his theory. However L could not prove his guilt, and in Chapter 58, Light tricks Rem into killing L for his own personal gain, making her believe that she must kill him for the sake of Misa's life. L's last sight before death is Light triumphantly smiling over his defeated rival, and in his last moment he confirms to himself that he had been right all along.Ironically, despite Kira being L's opponent, at the core, Light and L shared many things in common. Calling Light his first and only friend, it can be speculated that this attachment may have hindered L in his investigation. Furthermore, L could have presented his conclusions publicly at any time, and with his reputation, had them taken seriously. However, L tended to second-guess everything he was presented with, and was extremely meticulous and analytical. It could be said that L was, in some ways, too intelligent.
Background: When L was younger he grew up in the Wammy House one of Quillsh Wammy/Watari's orphanages, as well as a safe haven and educational facility specifically for intellectually-gifted children. Also L cannot be 100% Japanese. Tsugumi Ohba, the author of the manga, holds the opinion that L is either part Japanese, British, Russian, perhaps French or Italian

L is the world's top detective, now working on the Kira case. His laid back, I-don't-really-care look, and sometimes additude, masks his imensely intelligent underbelly.
Up till this specific case, no one, save Watari, has ever really een his face and known that it was him. But, when police-men, and possibly women, began to back out in fear of their lives, L found in nessesary to meet with the remaining police force.
It is assumed that in his child-hood, L lived in the Wammy House/One of Watari's orphanages for intellectually gifted children. Also, it is assumed that L is not fully Japanese. He ay possibly be part Japanese, British, Russian, perhaps even French or Italian.

Ryuzaki Hideki is the fake name he uses when entering the same college as Raito. Raito already knows it is fake because it is the name of a famous pop star lol! Although L chose that name on purpose... L loves sweets and it is strange he doesn't get FAT! He is a world class dectective and a genius, he maybe the only one who could stop Kira(Raito) since his reasoning skills are equal or better that his. Besides eating sweets all the time L doesn't wear shoes, and holds things in a certain way.When Light(Raito)was on the investigation team, L called him his best friend. That's sad, he's trying to kill you L!
