Ayano Kannagi is the next in line of the Kannagi family to be the Soushu (head of the family) and she inherited the Enraiha. She seems to develop some feelings for Kazuma the more she gets to know him, but she has a hard time even admitting that to herself.
As with almost all Kannagi family members, Ayano is a strong Enjutsushi too. Although she is stubborn and single-minded, she can still be a very effective fighter, especially when provoked. Compared to Ren, she isn't very skilled, but she has a lot more raw power and she has the Enraiha. The Enraiha seems to be a sword that is materialized from flame spirits that can be used effectively not only as a sword to cut most anything, but as a means to channel her power and allow Ayano more versatility wielding her flames.
