| Kitamura Kou, the son of a sporting goods shopkeeper is childhood friends with the four Tsukishima sisters of the batting center cum cafe, Clover.
The Tsukishima are: the reliable elder sister Ichijou; the second eldest Wakaba, with whom Kou is on the best terms; the third, Aoba, with whom Kou doesn't get along; and the energetic youngest sister Momiji.
During the summer of 5th grade, Wakaba left her camp to keep her promise to attend the summer festival with Kou, but is involved in a fatal accident.
Kou, now in high school, works to turn into reality a dream which Wakaba last saw prior to her death: to play as a star baseball player in Koshien Stadium. Aoba, too, then joins the team, and so the wheels of fate begin to turn.
