| Furuya Chihiro is a 1st-year high-school student who literally loves zombies. After his cat Babu dies, he attempts to resurrect the feline.
The location in which he carries out his experiments is often visited by reserved and beautiful Sanka Rea. The two become acquainted and she decides to assist him in his work. During one such experiment, Rea half-jokingly remarks: "If I become a zombie, you'll take responsibility, won't you?"
Who knew that her words would turn out to be prophetic?
