| In the distant future, the human race has advanced into the far reaches of space and prospered. Suddenly, Jikushin (earthquake of time and space) occurred and sundered all travel and communication networks, and civilization collapsed.
Now, the human race begins its revival and enters its Second Age of Prosperity, spearheaded by the Transvaal Empire at the center of the galaxy. The science and technology before the collapse, i.e. "Lost Technology", are considered to be god's gift to humanity and is now the object of worship of a religion led by a priestess known as "Tsuki no Miko".
A guard fleet is stationed at the frontiers of the galaxy. It is a perfectly ordinary military force in all respects but one. Within the fleet is a team composed only of women, the "Angel Corps". They pilot the starfighters known as "Angel Frames", relics made using Lost Technology. In addition to their duties safeguarding the Empire, they also carry out various missions to collect Lost Technology.
Rather than a group of elite pilots, the members of the Angel Corps possesses some eccentric personalities. There's the firearm maniac Forte, costume player Mint, taciturn Vanilla, showy Ranpha and Milfeulle who likes to cook. Every time they go on a mission, trouble follows on their heels.
