Oh boy... Spoilers...
Megumi, please cover up your spoilers....
Edit:
Never mind, there was a spoiler warning in the subject line already.
Sorry about that.

Uh, no, I don't think a spoiler warning in the subject line is enough, as it doesn't specify any series - you can't know if you will be spoiled by a post in this thread, as you can't know if you've seen the anime already. That's why I think every spoiler should be properly tagged, even if there's a warning in the thread title.

That part was sad, but I thought even more sad in Fruits Basket was the ep with the Doc and his gf, ridiculously sad. There's something touching about that Fruits Basket theme, it even moved me somewhat in the ep with the president of Yuki Club in spite of her shortcomings
Grave of the Fireflies had attenuated sadness to me bc even from the start you knew what was going to happen. I'm not quite sure why they did that. It was still sad though, especially with that little canister of candies and more

There's a spoiler tag in the top right of the "post reply" box. Use that.

Uhh, there's a spoiler tab next to the URL one. It works like HTML. You press the spoiler tab, type the text you're covering with the spoiler and press the spoiler tab again.
If you need any more help, ask the mods or check the rules. Hope this helps.

I think music can make you cry if you remember a sad event in your life. I cried one time while listening to Eternal Snow bcoz that song has a very sad tune and it reminded me of something or someone (its a secret)
Anyway, I promise not to post any spoilers again.
Thanks for the help guys!

Note your spoilers by noting before the spoiler what you are spoiling otherwise covering spoilers would be pointless. Please follow this guideline or your post may be removed on site.
I also added this to the first post in the thread.

Yes. I've cried on many titles. I think it's usually because I remove all "thug" feelings and really "feel" the characters emotions and moments in the anime. Can't seem to fully enjoy something if I don't. With anime I try to expell anything that would distract from the series (window shut, doors closed, lights dimmed). Just teared up earlier today with the 2nd series of Rozen Maiden [spoiler:4b2d3d8266](The part where Hina Ichigo slowly winds down to death T-T)[/spoiler:4b2d3d8266]

That was a very sad scene indeed. True, she got on my nerves, but since she was a kid and what happens was very heartwrenching. However I did not cry over it, just was brooding through that episode.
Though [spoiler:e04685943e]IMO Sousie Seki dying and Susie seki crying over her death was more moving.[/spoiler:e04685943e] I really liked SusieSeki, and with her in despair was a bit too much for me.

Grr dont remind me of that movie. Although I was originaly moved when I saw it I now dislike it. Watch Thumbtanic and you'll understand.

While I dont have any specific memories of crying cause of an anime I'm sure I've done it before. I'm normaly a very unemotional person but thats just because my emotions can be very strong so being stolid is the only way to keep myself relaxed. But I can also be a very empathetic person.

@The 2 persons above me:
Cover the damn spoilers! Even if it is for Titanic. Just because you've seen all these animes/movies doesn't mean I have.

I never really cried at movies or anime...no not even once but i did feel the tears starting up in my eyes at a few scenes in elfen lied...especially with the music damn that anime is so beautifully directed
and also there's one song of jean michel jarre that did the same for me, it's called "souvenir of china" and it's completely instrumental so it's not really touching lyrics, orchestral even, and so beautifully sad

... I never really cried at movies or anime, not even once but I felt like I would, in few scenes, for example:
1.~Ninja Scroll the Movie [spoiler:4bb57f075f]~ when Kagero was dieing in Jubei's hands.[/spoiler:4bb57f075f]
2.~Macross Zero [spoiler:4bb57f075f]~ in last 10 minutes of serie, when dr Nakajima Raizou was dieing in front of Roy's eyes and he couldn't do anything. And when Shin crashed in ocean and flyed (spirit of aircraft and him in it) to his loved one, Sara.[/spoiler:4bb57f075f]
3.~Vampire Hunter D [spoiler:4bb57f075f]~ at the end when Mayer trys to fly to moon with his loved Charlotte, which is killed by Bloody Charmela.[/spoiler:4bb57f075f]

Romance and Tragedy SHOULD make you feel somewhat sad, if they dont then they arent well made ;P

Doesn't need to be that way . I saw a lot romance and tragedy in TV, but also in real life , and they were prety "good". And they didn't made me feel anything, and yhat doesn't mean that I'm insencitive or without emoticons. That just mean that some things do not touch our hearts .

more.. More to add to my list...
Elfen Lied , strangely enough, episode 13 when [spoiler:59b8f975e2]kouta and Lucy were hugging, almost like it was a goodbye forever, awwww [/spoiler:59b8f975e2] I just watched it this morning and I was totally in tears, my boyfriend thought I was nuts.
There'll be more from here... I just ordered all the Gundam SEED DVD's, so hopefully they'll come soon. I heard some parts, and some of the music is really sad. So that'll prolly bring on the waterworks

Hidoi, I have a heart you know, its just that its made of stone, I think so because I rarely cry when watching animes, and I never cried while watching KgNE, it was just too cheesy for my taste.

I only "shed a tear" once while watching something, and and as far as I can remember that movie was "I am Sam" so sad.
