 favorite anime weapon

OK this is where you can post your favorite anime weapon and why you like it.It may be due to its cool looks or the story behind it.List only your 1 favorite weap although things like twin katanas also count.OH and its anime/ manga weapons only from the title of this post.

ok ill start you off. Strings made from black binding technique. This appeared in the first episode of basilisk and was totally awesome. I had seen strind used as a weapon before but none done as well as in basilisk. The way blasted somehow ripping shreds of the ground and tore through sword and stone with a mere cradle movement of the hand was amazing and left you awe struck..

Energy/chi

Its not always a weapon, but mostly more like an improvement to the characters weapon. Smile

well not really a weapon but i,ll call it Biokenesis ... you see that in a lot of anime (often villains) able to change there body to form weapon... like meyer in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust with his claws... or in Gungrave with the necrolised tha can switch their hands to gun... well personaly i like more the melee weapon aspect of it...

else there is the Psychic(or God power i call)... Tetsuo in Akira is the best example of it...

Mobile Suits. They look really cool and always have lots of guns. Could be able to level a small country with a fully-armed one. Laughing

I also like the First Tsurugi in FF:AC. The anime is crap-candy, but the sword looks really awesome. I can make so many different combinations on it. It'll be awesome.

After some thought about it I think I would like Sesshōmaru's sword Tenseiga. It really seems like the ultimate weapon to me.

You could use it to protect anyone you care about because you could just bring them back to life. It would also protect you since it protects its user in life threatening situations by creating a sheild. Not to mention that you could pass the guards of heaven/hell because of their fear of the sword since it can kill them. Then there's its ability to send your foes straight to the afterlife by carving a portal into the other realm.

With it you control life and death itself. What greater power could you ask for from a weapon.

hmmmm this was really a favorite weaopon but if you want power then ill match your weapon with eukis hands from law of euki. It has the ability to turn rubbish like scraps of paper into fully grown trees. Imagine having a 5 story pine sprout from your palms and into some ones face.hehe

I suppose I am! Not much of a pacifist, but I liked that Kenshin was repenting for his sins, without killing.

It's repenting his sins for all the killing he did and we all know there's no way to repent for killing someone, but Kenshin does a good job at trying - OK?!

If I were a guy, I might say a nice mech (maybe a Brain Powered style one), but as I'm a girl and I'm allowed! I want a magic sceptre of some description, or maybe if I had Sailor Moon's henshin pen, I could transform myself into a mech Laughing

um i dont know what your on about but i was talking about how he or she said kenshin was repenting his sins without killing. the very fact that repenting for your sins involves killing is ludicrous.

How does that make sense?! He defeats enemies in battle by any other means except actually killing them, because he made a vow to never kill again. I think you've read the original posts all wrong and you've got the idea that to repent involves killing Confused

The mecha for Brain Powered were nice although the only thing that I don't like about them are the gaudy, mono-palette colors. Try Sakura's clow staff too, lol. Laughing

Kenshin uses a sword that is blunt on the front side, but a rather sharp back hence the name "Reverse Edge." The sword is so blunt that killing someone with it is nigh impossible unless you used the back portion of the blade. It does leave opponents with intense pain afterwards.

This is not from anime but from a game called Final Fantasy 8 (I think everyones knows about it)
I think Squall's Gunblade is kinda cool unlike him.

I like the Brain Powered mechs because to me they seemed to have individual personalities and that's what I liked ^__^

I liked Squall's Gunblade as well (though I respectfully disagree about Squall because I really liked his character; it was amusing to me at least to see the transformation in his personality.)

I guess if I had to choose a favorite weapon from an anime series, it would have to be Kenshin's reverse blade sword, because of the fact that he could smoothly defeat his enemies without killing anyone. Probably right along would be Ed's Alchemy ability from Full Metal Alchemist (of course it could be used for other useful things other than as a weapon Wink).

Never would've thought of picking the Gunblade from FF:VIII. I'd prefer Seifer's 9mm Gunblade over Squall's.

And about Squall being lame....OUCH thats harsh.

Aren't Squall's and Seifer's gunblade the same? I don't remember much about them Confused
Actually Squall looks soo cool and good looking but I was turned off by his personality, he's so dull.

no one? if you read it then it says hes just trying to repent his sins without killing. that very statement suggests killing has something to do with repenting your sins.It should be along the lines of repenting his sins by not killing.

That's why its called "repenting" duh! "Repenting" if you dont know, means "To make a change for the better as a result of remorse or contrition for one's sins." *sigh* I give up.

Then its incorrect because it says "repenting his sins without killing" not "repenting his sins --->by<--- not killing."

I agree that squall is dull. His 2 favourite lines 'whatever' and 'none of your business' just makes him very unappealling to me.

I could careless about the limit breaks on the weapons and I do agree with you that Lionheart is better than no meycy. I just like Seifer's gunblade more than squall's. I'm also gonna refrain myself from defending Squall isn't lame (yeah, he's my favorite FF character). I will say that Squall will always live in Cloud's shadow Sad

How does that make sense?! He defeats enemies in battle by any other means except actually killing them, because he made a vow to never kill again. I think you've read the original posts all wrong and you've got the idea that to repent involves killing Confused

no one? if you read it then it says hes just trying to repent his sins without killing. that very statement suggests killing has something to do with repenting your sins.It should be along the lines of repenting his sins by not killing.

That's why its called "repenting" duh! "Repenting" if you dont know, means "To make a change for the better as a result of remorse or contrition for one's sins." *sigh* I give up.

Then its incorrect because it says "repenting his sins without killing" not "repenting his sins --->by<--- not killing."
without killing = not killing

I think Squall's Gunblade is kinda cool unlike him.

Never would've thought of picking the Gunblade from FF:VIII. I'd prefer Seifer's 9mm Gunblade over Squall's.

@ ninja ryu
If i had to choose, i'll take squall's gunblade over seifier's. Lion heart > no mercy (limit breaks)

@ megumi
I agree that squall is dull. His 2 favourite lines 'whatever' and 'none of your business' just makes him very unappealling to me.

Yeah, the lionheart's limit break is so cool and probably the strongest in all of FF's weapons.
FF8 has a nice story, but the characters are dull. I'm one of those Squall and Rinoa haters.

um..kinda off topic?? o0

anyways I would love to use Servant Saber from Fate/Stay Night if they could be called weapons. It's like having a friend and a weapon at the same time =D. Two birds with one stone i say. And plus shes pretty Embarassed

Whoa hold on now. Lion Heart is definitely the strongest attack in ff8 but certainly not the whole ff series. Lion Heart deals a max of 16x9999 dmg. Attack reels with World Champion (ffx wakka's celestial weapon) deals a max of 15x99999 dmg. If u count the 9s carefully u'll find that lion heart's dmg pales in comparison with attack reels. This is probably due to the scaling factor in both games respectively but hey i like numbers ^_^
Note: I havent checked yet but Rinoa's angelo wing meteor with 255 magic might deal more dmg than lion heart.

I haven't played ffX so I don't know about their weapons and limit breaks.
But Wakka having the strongest weapon? it shouldve been Tidus' because he's the main character. weird Confused
