KGNE did really touch my heart, and i most agree with you M, fictional story's like saikano etc or fullmetal alchemist i find them hard to catch emotional feelings for, however there is one anime.
Elfen Lied. I dunno what it is about that anime but it really strangle's my heart. Maybe cuse it was one of the first ''strong'' animes ive seen besides chobits, naruto and green green.
KGNE and Elfen Lied i think these animes ive cried hardest on of all animes ive seen.

I liked it and was really close to crying a few times but I hated how it left you wondering. The ending was just annoying. You go through so much and basically get to somewhere that makes life seem hopeless. No one really got what they deservered. It made the show "Degrassi" look like nothing. They could've called it the first anime soap opera. Quote: I hated that shinji slept with mitsuki because he wanted to help her. How does having sex help at all. He could've said no. And whta about that other girl he liked was he just going to throw her away. I hope they make like something explaining it all. But shinji should've died. BUt I would've been mad but mitsuki thought that nerumi still had feelings for haruka. But nerumifelt guilty after all he had done to her so i think thats why he forgave her.
But i give it 7/10 but it was very good in the ned and everyone put there pasts behind them so it wasn' like viewers can be the character so they all lived happily aand moved on.

The seires has very good emotive powers. The guy who's innocent as rain but just as thoughtless who is goign to end up hurting both by not being able to decide. Usually the guys in this tag but silmeballs but Narumi has some decent qualities and he's in a very tough bind. Ultimately the best emotional impact comes from the last two episodes where has makes his decision but does it such neither girl is crushed for life, which has happened in many recent harem/triangle/love series lately. The unlucky one was still positive and able to move on while the one that got him was able to find her happiness at last.

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien really didn't effect me that much emotionally and i didn't think it was that much of an emotional anime, this is probably due to the fact that i watched School Days just before it and that nearly moved me to tears and left me severely depressed for days after.

Rule #75: Never watch KGNE (depressing anime) and then straight after, watch School Days (renews your hope, then leaves you in the dirt). You may never recover.
Consider it lucky that you watched School Days first

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien and School Days Spoilers:
Quote: I think it was the fact that most people were happy at the end of Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, where as in school days they weren't, as they were dead. Except for Kotonoha, she was happy, crazy but happy. Its not just that they were dead though its a rollercoaster of emotions that anime (anger, happiness , depression) that was just one comparison i was making with Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.
Although while on the subject of heavy emotions in anime Black Lagoon although my favorite anime did make me physically sick at one point, if you've seen it you probably know where i mean :S
Sorry, I still havent got the hang of covering things up, so i made the text white.

this anime got me pretty sad xD probably the top anime to make me emotional ^^; i cant even bring my self to watch this series again and no anime has done that to me before ; ; i think this was the first anime of this genre i had watched though so may be why XD
and since its been mentioned, for me school days didnt really compare to this, some parts were sad but the ending ruined it for me i think they took it to far and it just wasnt saddening for me xD

I thought "KGNE" was pretty well-executed, and it was pretty distressing. It didn't make me cry, though. No anime has made me cry, and only one movie I can remember managed to get me to tear up. A late-night (i.e. early-morning) marathon of "Elfen Lied" got me really close, but I didn't quite manage to make it through the entire series in one go (got through 11 episodes and then crashed at 5:30am on a school night ). I really regret not pulling that off.
On the topic of "School Days", I watched it after reading this thread, and I thought it was poorly executed. The main problem was the disgraceful male lead. Add to that an astounding level of stupidity and lack of maturity in handling relationships, and I just didn't care about the ensuing drama. Then add in unbelievable actions on the part of nearly every cast member, and the whole thing turns into a mess. By the end, I had lost respect for every single character and downright loathed the male lead. As such, I thought the ending was hilariously appropriate.
The drama in "KGNE" was based on an external event, contrived yet unavoidable, but the characters were believable. The drama in "School Days" was based on massive character flaws in the cast, which makes it unlikable in general.
Yeah, not quite the most on-topic post ever, but whatever.
