Yea, I just finished Enishi about 5 minutes ago and crap. I was hoping they'd have some sort of solid conclusion about Kaoru and Aoi-chan, but no, everyone is still oblivious. Aoi's parents haven't officially given the relationship their blessing, etc. Will they forever hang in limbo over what will happen!?

I knew they couldn't have ended it any better than how they did it for season one. I thought about buying the manga, but the anime was enough for me. It kept me in a good mood, I was interested in what was going on, and it was very cute watching Kaoru and Aoi.

I didn't watch Enishi either. I didn't want to spoil what was already a great anime.

So is it confirmed there's no season 3? T'is a shame really, but maybe in the future they'll do a remake of it, and include more of the manga or something.

I'd doubt it. Normally if a sequel is to be made it is normally announced soon after the series ends. Like Sayonara Zetsbou Sensei (just 3 weeks after Season 1 ended). Or other seasons like ZnT2, Miname Ke 2 etc..

The final volume of AYA came out in Japan in 2005. If season three were to happen, it would have happened ages back. Lets face it, the franchise is dead.

I agree. Too many years have passed. Besides which, the AYA anime is good enough that a remake is unnecessary. It's not like we're talking about the badly done Kanon 2004 or something.

A little off-topic, but I finally read the last volume (volume 17) last night. They should've compressed it into 1 or 2 chapters and stuck it onto the end of the previous volume. What a waste.

There's 17 volumes. At least the English version is that long. There's nothing new or unusually different for anime to cover from what the manga did differently. Except for the two of them finally getting intimate.

I really hope they make a third season. Just like everyone else, i was really looking forward to when they announce their engagement and everything. They must realize that nobody like the ending to enishi. I can't even describe to you how happy i would be if they announced a third season. I've watched the series 3 times now, and im still just as disappointed as ever. well, i'll keep my fingers crossed i guess.

I've watched this anime and I only have one thing to say...MORE!!!! I've watched a lot of romance animes, but all of them put together couldn't even touch this one.

I think the only way to get more episodes is to ask the producers. One problem, they are all japanese companies and I don't speak/read japanese.

So if somebody could please find out which producer to talk to and how to create a petition I'd be greatful. I know there have been companies that made animes solely on large fan followings.

I must agree, that I highly doubt there will be a 3rd season. I really enjoyed this series, despite it not having much conflict, and of course how the 2nd season turned out (don't want to accidentally put a spoiler). If anyone finds out anything about a possible 3rd season, please share ! This is the first anime that i've ever considered reading the manga for. Anyone mind telling me how much the manga progresses with their relationship?
