Anything about the three years in between ep2 and 3? Spoiler

What happened in those 3 years was shwon in flashbacks throughout the series. Narumi trying to smuggle Haruka out of the hospital. Him dropping out of school. Mitsuki stepping in to comfort him.

IIRC, nothing much was left to our imagination.

Comforting Takayuki, I can't recall...

Odd. IIRC they were already dating in the flashbacks. Eh. I'll watch them again later.

He couldn't handle Haruka being like that and slowly became delusional, fell out of high school and slowly began spiralling down. Mitsuki stuffed up her swimming career, took an office job and put a lot of time and effort to keep Narumi from going insane. They gradually grew closer then got intimate. Akane walked in on Mitsuki at Narumi's place one night, who was near-naked and waiting for Narumi, which led to Akane's hatred for Mitsuki.

That's the essentials. I find it amusing you forget Mitsuki comforted Narumi, took him out of self-destruction then they got intimate, that was one of the core parts of the series.
