I mean for those bottles that are opened. Not a problem for the sealed ones. I have opened it for a while. Although the taste is much stronger than it is when I first opened it, I think I need to still drink it fast.

Ah! I see. Friday evening's a good time to sit down, kick back and relax to some nice stuff, eh? But if you're watching anime and drinking at the same time, I'll bet even Yu Gi Oh will suddenly seem as amazing as Hoshi no Koe.

Managed to get myself drunk for the first time about a month ago and I'm missing a couple of hours from that night, which is scary in itself for someone that never drank over the limit. To my surprise, I've combined everything imaginable: liquor, chocolate liquor even, a copious amount of beer, vodka with a lot of fruit syrup (I was the cocktail guy, prepared them for 12 hours straight), about a quarter bottle of some grade-A rum and even a bottle of some Spanish thingamabob type of drink based on wine. I woke up without a hang-over and never felt sick that night... but, I don't think I'll ever repeat such an experience.

Now, where have you been Cyber? Haven't seen you around in a while. Too drunk to post? Or was I too drunk to have noticed your posting?

No net, no school, been away driving a lot (not drink driving thank God)...what's life without a couple thousand kilometer trips?
Anywho, me drunk again...not gonna happen. People tell me I've done some stupid stuff which I can't remember (like hitting my head against a door, rather loudly they say...I can't remember, nor did I have a lump), none too outrageous thankfully.

I've been told that the ultimate trip is to get drunk/stoned, then play The Wizard of Oz from the moment the Lion jumps out on the rest of the group and simultaneously start playing Pink Floyd's 'The Dark Side of the Moon' album. Not that I'm ever going to try it, but Rolling Stone called it the ultimate trip.

I'm normally a larger or cider drinker but on occasions I'll drink beer, whiskey, vodka and wine if people offer me it.

I almost never drink unless the occassion calls for it. And I never drink at home or alone anyway. Got several bottles of whiskey sitting around at home and I'm not doing anything to them. Unmolested bottles, but they're gathering dust.

Pass them over and I'll help you XD.
I only drink a bit at weekends, more if I'm invited out somewhere or if it's someone's birthday. Christmas is the main time though, I'll be stocking up on some bottles in the next week or two hehe.

Good for you then. I come from a family of mostly non-drinkers.
As far as I know, my gramps used to drink some brandy or rum during dinners. That's all. Another uncle collects wine but doesn't drink them.
I'm the worst of the lot since I started drinking at a much earlier age than anyone in my family. And I drink, comparatively, a lot more than they ever used to.

Alcohol is the best thing in the world, although I was drinking these shots the other night called CockKnockers they were just pure evil, and literally they just tasted of pain It was a mixture of high end absinthe and two other thinks...... I forget, It will come to me later, but they were mixed just right that this drink could not just strip paint of walls but the skin from your body it was crazy and expensive, but total worth it Although not the next day when I had work

The name of that drink, by itself, already scares the balls off of me.
I generally don't go for mixes though. Not even when I know what's in them. Except of course the usual whiskey with soda/cola/water.
The last time I tried something called "Long Island Tea" I got duped. But that was many years ago. Now I know what it is.

You had work the next day? Crazy person. I'd never stay out drinking knowing I had something to do the next day. The name of the drink wouldn't put me off if I hadn't tried it before either heh. Like when someone told to try a "Fuzzy Toilet" XD. It tasted quite nice actually.

I'd NEVER try something called like that
---
I just saw this thread and remembered something I wanted to post here... 3 weeks ago XD
I discovered that, no matter what, I won't get drunk
Normally, when a person starts drinking something (like Vodka, for example), will taste the strong flavor of the liquor at first, and this will "soften" progressively (the tolerance). And after the taste is gone, the person is lying on the floor, totally drunk.
Now, it doesn't happen with me. When I start drinking, I won't taste anything at all, or it will be really soft, but after 4 or 5 glasses, it gets really.... disgusting. I'd say it's rather acid, with gall mixed there At that point I stop drinking. And also, I feel dizzy, but I can think clearly.
So anyways, gotta go. Must cash a check. And pay bills. And buy a metronome

You lack adventure sir XD.
Well, There's one thing we have in common as I don't seem to be able to get drunk either. Kinda weird...

Same here. My mother gave me a good lecture when she found out that I had started drinking by my 2nd year undergrad. Though in my defense, I never over drank or anything. She conveniently decided to ignore that. lol. My father is somewhat similar to your uncle, he has collected at least 100 liters of premium scotch over the past 10 years now. I still can't dare to ask him to open the Chivas Regal or the Black Label bottle though. haha.
However, in the past one year things have changed quite a lot. I normally drink a 500 ml can of Fosters or Budweiser once every two-three days. I wouldn't dare tell this at home, I would be labeled an alcoholic and promptly disowned!

Out of the list i chose Whisky!
I enjoy Jack Daniels yummm With coke or if i am in the mist of people who wont kill me for mixing it i love it with Red Bull, a previous man friend made me try it once and it was the best thing he ever did haha maybe the only good thing haha! I love baileys too yummy in Hot Chocolates especially at this time of year! Baileys to me is a christmasy drink! So as soon as the Coca Cola advert is on tele i buy baileys
If i am going out or fancy something nice i do like Pear Cider! I like a swedish one called Kopperberg, i used to only be able to buy it from ikea but now some bars stock it and it is like pop so you drink it and dont realise how much you have until you get out of the pub lol!
I dislike Beer its too icky strong in flavour i have a really sweet tooth so anything i drink has to be sweet. I dont like Vodka either the taste i mean. It makes me erm shall we say 'naughty' haha but there is like a alchopop here called smirnoff ice which is like Smirnoff vodka with lemonade or something and i swear im the type of girl that can handle my drink but a few bottles of that and im on my ass lol

So, I had whiskey again. After a long long time. And thanks to my friend's birthday treat, I could get my hands on Johnnie Walker's Red Label. Real smooth and what a pleasant after taste. Move over Teachers and Black Dog, this is so far the best Scotch I have tasted. Now if only someone can treat me to some Black Label, I can give a better judgment of where Red Label really stands... =p
@malaki
I tried Corona when I was visiting Malaysia. I found it to be very ordinary. I wonder if putting lemon into it would have made it taste better or not.

Absolutely. Much, much better. Its not real Corona without lemon, or even better, lime.

Just got back from a drinking session with a potential client. We both shared a jug of whiskey coke while our poor designated driver had just a glass of gin tonic. Poor chap.
The whiskey coke was kinda watered down so we weren't too pleased about it and complained to the bar tender who apologized quite profusely. I couldn't even smell any alcohol at all, but I could taste the whiskey. Got home rather sober still so I know I haven't had enough.

Anybody who paid that sort of money for that jug would have complained.
If I had wanted just Coke, I would have gone to 7-11.

My very kind mother has bought me a corona six pack so I can realive some stress from my studies byt having a very smooth and relaxing corona, with lime which she also bought
I love her XD
Last weekend I had an end of year get together at my college (we are VERY few, and when I say very few I mean we are probably about 50 students in total for about 9 careers XD). It was fun, we get to drink beer and get wasted in school buildings, which is exaclt what I did XD. Although, since it ended early, at about midnight, a few friends and I decided to go over to a friends house and keep drinking. Oh boy was that fun. I dont remember much of that part of the night, specially cause after a while I fell asleep XD.
Hahahahahha, it was still fun though =P

I make it a point to never get dead drunk. I don't want to be punked. The butt of everyone's practical jokes. No way. I'm always sober enough to be the one pulling the prank on someone else.
That's the fund part.

That's why I don't like to get those mixed ones right out of the counter. One time I recall going to one pub, the mixture is so diluted that you can't really taste the alcohol, and there were tons of ice inside the jug!! But well, I can't really complain too since some of my friends that I go drinking with that time can't handle alcohol well, so I am alright with it. Luckily, another 3 of my friend join in and open Martell

realise I never psoted here so might as well...
second realisation would be that Ken made about 30% of the posts here, closely followed by Zefiris lol
Personal Preference: Whisky (Canadian, so no choice we drink whisky like water.) Beer. Vodka. Tequila. Chartreuse.
Don't like: Wine (I do drink and like some, but most of the time i find it disgusting.) Can't stand Jack Daniel make me sick (don't ask me why). Sake... hate it.
And as a slice of personal history:
First drunk: 11 years old. Thanks to my uncles that found it funny to see my face when I drank Whisky.
First alcohol based barfing: 18 years old.(Legal age to drink in Canada.) Both my brother did the same too. Here if you don't barf in your 18 years old party you missed something... lol
One nice story i got not too long ago, good memory from Japan. Went out with some friends to have a nice night in Shibuya. That night I met Mai, good girl, really funny, interesting, open-minded (and, mostly, spoke english). And early in the night we were watching one of her friend who actually drank too much in 1 hour and half and was so drunk that she couldn't even keep awake. And Mai said to me: "Actually I've never drank till I was sick or had a black out." "Really?!?" "Yes. I think I just can't do it." SO we made a deal she would drink with me all night and actually drink the same amount as me. I do drink a lot and on the heavy weight side... Of course I'm not that hard to follow, but a japanese girl half my size that don't drink as much as she thinks she do.
Three hours later she fell asleep at the Karaoke, couldn't get her to even open one eye completely. At 7 am when we had to leave after 1hour and half or so, the first thing she did is to find the toilet so she could barf. And the week after said that she didn't remember a chunk of the night. Just make sure she understood no one raped her...
She didn't want to drink with me anymore after that. Sad but funny.
Oh and while at it here in Québec (i don't know for the rest of the Canada) We have something called Caribou (literaly: Reindeer. not joking.) Is more or less a whisky and red wine based alcohol with i don't know what in it. You can spice it up with Cinamon or something similar. Served either hot or cold. There is no offcial recipe for it that is aknowledge so each brand have their own way to do it. SO you can find Caribou ranging from 25% to 55%. Never seen higher than 55. At first, the first people to get here would often bring with them a bottle of almost 80% alcohol to drink while they were in the wood. And they started to actually take Caribou's(Reindeer) blood and mix it with the alcohol to soften it up and hide the disgusting taste. And that's where it came from. Now they don't pour any blood any it of course. They use raspberry's liqueur instead (I don't see the link between the two except the color). And you can only find it during the Winter Carnival during february. Actually really good. Strong enough to burn your stomach for days and still sweet. Really strange, I love that.

That Caribou sounds like it has a kick to it, does it taste like wine or whiskey? Love whiskey but hate wine probably my age, I'll have to see if I can find some somewhere and give it a go, doubt i will be able to find reindeer blood around these parts though

Considering that I made an estimated 30% of the posts here, it's funny I almost only ever drink whiskey. Shouldn't I be drinking a better variety of stuff?

OMG ken are you kidding better variety than Whisky?
Shame on you... it's like heresy for every whisky lover on earth lol
just kidding.
But I do think that whisky is one of the best you can find personally. A lot are really good. But 12 years old whisky is hard to beat. But still can't stand Jack Daniel... people say it,s whisky... taste like.. i don't know... not whisky in my head... get me sick almost every time.
Zefiris goodluck for finding that. I'm not sure you'll be able to get your hand on Caribou unless you try and order it on the internet and even then. For what I know uness us drink that, even fellow Canadian from the west don't know about it. so it's going to be hard, but i do wish you will be able too, worth it in my mind. And actually doesn't taste neither whisky or red wine. Strangely the closer would be like Porto, with a bit of fire in it.

Best drink on earth? Beer
But Campari, dry wine (preferably white, red only with meals), Rum (upwards of Havanna Club), Gin (upwards of Gordon's), Whiskey (not Bourbon), good vodka (hard to get) and Absynthe are also great. I only hate red wine derivatives like Port or Sangria.
edit:
Oh yeah, and Tequila is only tolerable if it's drunk precisely the tradinitional way, which is kind of sad because it means it tastes like shit when not mixed with lemon and salt :/

Belive me, nothing on Earth beats a good whiskey. Johnny Walker is good. Chivas is not bad either. But JD is a little too rough. It's probably OK in mixes but I'd hate to have to down a sip neat. Gives me a sorethroat.
