This guy is a male character.
His unit specialized in killing Armor units. So its a land squad that killed "mobile suits".
Released in 1988-1989.
His squad gets sacrificed b/c of corrupt politicians who wanted to gain resources, and as the only member of his squad to survive, he seeks out revenge with just his anti-armor gun. One man versus machine.
I am actually leaving ovreseas today with no internet access, so if no one can guess it, Avalanche please take over the next picture!
The anime this character is from is: (first letters only)

Yep. That is correct. I just got it around 10 minutes ago myself. I thought I had seen this character somewhere.. It turns out that the series is a Votoms spinoff - hence the similarity is character design.
@naux
Good one!
Anyways.... here's your next pic. It should be simple enough.

I meant that the firewall blocked it automatically. Photobucket is not normally blocked, so I'm thinking there's some sort of key word in your link that triggers the block.

Just jumping in here to say something important.
Remember to name your pictures with something other than the name of the character or the series, or someone could just right-click the image and find out the name of the anime.

This is not a yaoi guessing game.
Really makes me laugh to see guys trying to guess a yaoi character. Funny.

Not only that, technically Avalanche took cranstons turn to post since he (seemingly) answered correctly faster. All of this started of course when nauXolo posted a picture even though he (probably) knew he was not going to be able to confirm the answer later on. Also, some clues were not spoiler tagged. I don't consider it that important, but others might. As long as everyone's agreeing and having a good time I'm fine with you guys breaking the rules lol.
Some tips on how to make clues nice and tidy:

It's a pain to make it like this however, so I understand if you don't want to do it like this.

Quick question FH, I was wondering how long after some one has answered my post can I then go on to post. For example fnord answered my picture then posted one and I knew the answer straight away, but out of etiquette I didn't answer but can I then go on to answer the picture after that picture. So should it be like a one picture gap or two?

I think you did OK. Let's give everyone a chance to participate. Otherwise it's going to end up like a tennis match between 2 members. I prefer a football match, with more participants. Heck, let's make this like the Boston Marathon.

This. I think it's only fair to give others a chance. But if you can't resist the urge to answer, I can't stop you. It's not a rule, but if others insist, it will be.
Time for... *drum roll*

Ordered according to number of points and first correct answer. Participants who haven't guessed correctly a single time aren't counted (like me ).

I took 2 tries, after a hint from Aval. Does that count as 1 point or 0.5 point?
Or we could do it this way. Points can range from 3 for 1st time correct guesses. After one hint, it's 2 points. After 2 hints it's only 1 point. That should apply to anyone answering after the first person too, because that person would have found it easier to make a guess after knowing which is the WRONG answer.
How does that sound?

Well, they probably answered wrong for a reason. The picture was simply hard to guess, which balances it out. The idea is ok though, but the points have too much difference. Rather 5, 4 and 3 than 3, 2 and 1. Idk.

First, search for a picture (no way!?!) or take a screenshot like I did. Copy the url for example Code: http://www.animenfo.com/some_picture.jpg
paste it to your post, highlight the link and click the "Img" button. It's prefered that you make your own photobucket (or other image hosting site) account and upload it there, but not necessary.

@Dai
Here's some more detailed instructions, but if you're having trouble figuring it out, I think you should let someone else post a pic in the meantime.
1. You need a image hosting site. Examples are Ripway and Photobucket. The latter seems to be better.
2. You need an image. I'll assume you don't have any and that we'll only talk about anime. When you play an anime (on the pc) and want to take a screenshot, you use the image capture function of the video player program. IF you're using MPC, under the "file" menu, there's a "save image" option. On Windows Media Player, the function is hidden. Press Ctrl+I. The image will be captured and you'll be prompted to save it. Save as .jpg.
3. Now load the image from your PC onto the image hosting site. The pic will be saved on the site and will be given a unique web address.
4. Make a post here. Copy and paste the url onto the message, highlight the link and click the "Img" button.

Yep. I can see the image alright. And it seems like it's from a game than from an anime. I'm not making a guess though since I have no idea who she is.
Oh, are we allowing game characters in here as well?

A 12 episode anime series was made on this game sometime last year (or was it this year?) - so I reckon that its a fair question.

Harem yuri anime? Dang! I'm so going to download this.
BTW, the quality of that picture seemed to indicate it was taken off a game screenshot.
