And in revenge I'll post something as equally obscure :p
Perhaps. It has recognition value.

You sneaky little fella. That pic was so hard to recognize.

Supraguy has not gotten back to us with a pic of his own. I'd say, by the rules of this game, he has to forfeit his opportunity. Since you're the first to post in here again, maybe you can post a pic to keep this going Veleon. I won't answer though (as if I'd know who it is ) since I was the one who posted the last pic.

My bad. I shoulda checked back in earlier.
Previous guess info wrote: "Sato" is a more direct romanisation of the name, but since the "u" is pronounced, it will sometimes be translated that way. A similar thing happens with other names. Yoko Nakajima from 12 Kingdoms will sometimes have her name spelled as "Youko" for the same reason, though they're both referring to the same character. (Sometimes it will be spelled both ways by the same fansub group within the same episode. (Though this is generally a hint to me that I should be looking for a different translation!)

Naux, you officially have joined the "Old Timers" club for those born before 1992. Or at least before the movie was released in the US, whenever that was.

Haha, I actually recently watched this last month! It had been on my back burner for the longest time, and I had a random impulse to watch it. I guess I'm an old timer, in a sense, since I did watch anime on VHS before :X

Wow. It actually took you that long to watch this one. God, it came out so long ago already. Did you watch the US release?
First thing I recognized when I saw that pic was how she resembled almost every other girl from the same director. Just different hair colour/length, boob sizes, heights and age. And that little red plane in the background.

She really does. I figured it was her, but I didn't see the picture until after nauX guessed it. I need to check this thread more often.

I knew that the background was a big cue. I could have cropped that out, too, but I decided not to.
Naturally, Naux is right.

Funny. I thought she looked really familiar too. And Scrapped Princess came to mind first of all. But who was she?
When I used yahoo image search, keying "Scrapped Princess", that pic never appeared in any of the first few results pages. I couldn't be asses to search further though.

She is the Beast Princess, Princess of the Giat Empire. That pic is from when she fight's against Shannon when they arrive in the Giat Empire.

I didn't exactly recognize her as a character. I merely recognized the style of animation and immediately thought of Scrapped Princess. I actually had to run an image search with Yahoo in the hope of finding the character. Even then, I might not be able to find out her name.
