Ignorance is pretty easy to play on a instrument using your ear only. That's one of the better things about paramore lol.

I have to say, I'm not fazed by Muse's new album at all. Personally I think there's two problems. Firstly, they're using too many instruments/layers to the point they start conflicting and nothing in particular is standing out. Plus I get the 'Knights of Cydonia' feeling listening to a lot of this stuff, like they're trying to be epic too much. If they stripped back some of the layers and made it more simple, I think it would have worked. It's just too complex for me.
As for recent listens:
Beck - Lost Cause
A Perfect Circle - A Stranger
Kings of Leon - Crawl
Muse - Sunburn

I think it's a balance of things, and you pretty much said the same thing that I did, I think if they took the tone down, and organized the material a little more, it would have been a better album. Instead it sounded like it was trying too much and too hard. You could tell it.
And although I liked parts of Exogenesis, I think that was trying too hard as well. A lot of people put it on a pedestal, but I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed by it.

Listening to Eternal Morning's "City that Never Sleeps". Eternal Morning is a collab between Korean Hip-Hop Group Epik High's Tablo and composer/producer pe2ny. Best way to describe it is a plethora of trip-hop instrumentals. Name of the album it's from is "Soundtrack to a Lost Film". Beautiful album. I always put it on when I want to relax after a long day.

Shoujo Q, Pani Poni Dash OP Song...
For some reason this song fascinates me, even though I find singing like this unbearably cute normally.

I absolutely love the new ending (2nd one) to Nabari no Ou!
Yeah, I think this should go in the favorite anime ops and eds section, but I'm listening to it now, so I think it counts in this thread.

Fade to Black ending theme: Koyoi, Tsuki wa Miesu tomo by Porno Graffitti
I must say, the movie was absolutely awesome. I liked it the most out of all the Bleach movies. As for the band name, how the heck did they come up with the name Porno Graffiti? o_O

Porno Graffitti's a fun group - I love a number of their songs, including the OP they did for GTO. They came up with the name, if I recall, from an album from a band called Extreme. I think they were either inspired by the rather prolific style of the album or they just thought it would be a cool name to use (or both).

^*raises hand* I have a varied taste reflected on it, but I also review music from time to time, so that also adds into the mix of things that I listen to.
I'm usually in and out of the community itself in spurts, though I end up scrobbling music on there a lot.

I think there was a thread about Last.fm users, but it's either old as heck or I can't find it for the life of me.
Go ahead and start a new thread if you're going for Last.fm discussion/username inquiry. I'll share my username as well (though it's very easy to remember ). Better to do that than go too much off topic on this one.

I'm listening to a number of songs on a random playlist. "Can You See the Lights" by Butterfly Boucher's playing now. I'll post the rest of the songs in a little bit.
Edit: Other songs playing randomly in my Itunes:
Ride - "Vapor Trail"
Guadacanal Diary - "Where Angels Fear to Tread"
Ai Otsuka - "Cherish"

Recently, I acquired the Hymnos Concerts for Ar Tonelico 2. I like Metafallica and Replakia the best. Those two have got to be the most crazy awesome Hymnos in the whole game.

Currently listening to the first album of Westlife.
Love most of the songs in this album, especially Try Again, Change the World and I Don't Wanna Fight. Feeling a bit nostalgic as I listen this during my secondary school days

Recently Porcupine Tree held a concert in Amsterdam and one of my colleagues went their and it was exhiarating experience what with the sound and the entire visual experience. The playlist was solid-tracks included Trains,Lazarus,Russia One Ice,.3.Sound of Muzak and few others..so on that cue I went on listening to random tracks from their albums-Deadwing,In Absentia and Lightbulb Sun...in fact PT is arriving to play in Mumbai in India...so a chance for their fans to go and enjoy them live..

Very soothing song. The girl in the music video is SUPER skinny, but then again, I shouldn't be surprise.

Just found out that Skunk Anansie are releasing a best of collection that includes new material. Great news Will be interesting to give this a listen as they were one of my favourite bands from the mid-90's. There's a tour as well but Manchester has sold out

1. Requiem for a Dream by Chris Mansell and the Kronos Quartet
2. Don't Speak Instrumental
3. Explosive by Bond
4. Nana del Laberinto del Fauna from Pan's Labyrinth
5. J'y suis jamais alle by Yann Tiersen
6. Oh and I went to a John Williams concert and uh, recorded the Death Star theme from Star Wars and the E.T. theme.

I was surprised that GD and TOP had the least parts. Most of the song was sang by Taeyang. I don't like Taeyang that much. Well at least he's better than Seungri.

Listened to, or more like watched, a Led Zeppelin live concert on dvd a couple of days ago. When I heard the song No Quarter I just had to learn to play it. So that's what I've been listening to the whole weekend. I think I know how to play most parts, on both guitar and keyboard.
