Lots of Lady Gaga songs:
Bad Romance
Paparazzi
Just Dance
Poker Face
I love her songs. Her music videos are incredibly weird though.

Nana Mizuki - Phantom Minds
Brilliant. There's a reason why she is the ONLY seiyuu to reach #1 in Japan with an album. She's good.
@Veleon - Well, Stockdale had to get new band members to keep Wolfmother alive. It may be that Cosmic Egg was them trying to find their niche once more. Perhaps the third album will work better.
*shrug* I'm still yet to find one 2009 album to like. I'm running out of time.

There are probably only a handful of albums I liked this year. I have a feeling my Favorite English Albums year end blog is going to be very small this year.
I'm a little surprised because in 2007 and 2008 I still at least had some stuff I listened to and loved, but this year, I don't know.
Edit: Forgot to add what I was listening to:
Chrisette Michelle - "Best of Me": I usually listen to Chrisette Michelle when I want to mellow out to something simple and smooth. I love her classic voice, even if some of her songs don't strike me the same way as this one does.

Because of the TV ads fro John Lewis, I looked up some Taken by Trees. I kinda like the snippets of her cover version of Sweet Child of Mine in the commercials so wanted to listen to more of her work. Also checked out her earlier work in The Concretes. It's all in the Indie / Folk-Pop genre but not too bad for all that.

As for what I'm listening to, random list of songs, all of them having in common one thing - just songs that make me happy listening to them.
Blues Brothers' - "Who's Makin' Love"
Clazziquai Project - "Fill this Night"
Electrasy - "Lost in Space"
Itou Kanako - "Kimi to Yozora to Sakamichi to" (Ending to Myself Yourself - I wish I had nominated this in the Favorite OP/ED contest)

Listening to Kings of Leon's "Closer". Love this song. I think the opening instrumental lines really set the mood and just open into Caleb's vocals so beautifully.

Colour Haze - Love.
This is the best song to wake up to. And then listen to it 5-6 times again after waking up.

Listening to Confidence in the Domination by Motoi Sakuraba, from the game Valkyrie Profile. Trying to learn to play it, but it's quite hard with the fast pace and odd time signatures. (*Looks at his previous posts* Lol, I'm trying to make this my "what am I currently trying to learn to play" thread.)

Listening to a number of songs and albums I've missed on the Japanese spectrum this year. I just finished listening to the gem that was Chihiro Onitsuka's album (I missed the release back in October I think? Maybe a little earlier ) and I heard a few singles from Yuna Ito ("Let it Go") and Aya Kamiki (W-B-X with Takuya). Also listened to Monoral's latest single "70 Hours". Very nice as per usual from them.
I'm hoping to have my Best of 2009 Japanese list sometime up on my blog tonight. I don't know when I'll have my English list up, because I'm sorting through the last part of December releases. Sometime this weekend perhaps since I haven't kickstarted the semester quite yet with respect to school.

I finally gave in and got Tik Tok by Ke$ha. I didn't like it at first, but as I kept hearing it on the radio it started growing on me. Now it's kinda stuck in my head. I need to listen to it over and over to get it unstuck.

I love that song, first time I heard it was stuck in my head. I can't sit still to a song like that >.<
But found the music video very odd tho.

I watched the movie "The Lost Boys" a while back (about a week or two) for the first time and I've had the song "Lost in the Shadows" by Lou Gramm stuck in my head for about the same amount of time.
I'll post my reflections about Lost Boys in the movie thread later (that among a marathon of other movies I watched), but I have to say that the movie had a stellar soundtrack, and I've been listening to it off and on in the past week.

For anyone who likes Sheryl Crow's voice then I recommend you check out Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. A Blues/Indie rock band that I found out about from the OST for the new Alice in Wonderland film (which is also pretty good by the way. They perform quite a few covers, especially live, from artists like The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Hendrix etc.

I just listened to City and Colour's second album called Bring Me Your Love. It's a side project of Dallas Green, the singer from Alexisonfire. If you want some really relax guitar sort-of folk music, I really recommend you give this guy a try.

I've been busy between many different projects and things like that, but the last full stream of music I've listened to has been in different genres.
I listened to Sade's last album ("Soldier of Love") and loved it. I listened to Sharon Little's first album (back from 2008, I think) and loved it. And I listened to Matt Wertz's new EP "While We're Becoming" and enjoyed it. Mostly mellowing out the first and last albums, and some kick punch from Sharon Little. (I like her voice, especially in songs like this one. )
Aside from that, not much new on my musical palette.

This is one utterly trippy, mind-bending concept. But man, with more listens, it really becoemes clear. A couple of tracks are too out of place, but overall, this is good listening. First album in about 2 years that has been worth my time.

It's a grower - I actually just finished listening to it for probably the third time through since I bought it and I really like it. It's probably one of the albums I'll end up blogging about when I have the time to do it.
"Superfast Jellyfish" made me smile the first time I listened to it.
If I had to name some of my favorite tracks, just from initial impressions: I'd say "Rhinestone Eyes", "Broken", "Superfast Jellyfish", and "On Melancholy Hill". I'm still trying to furrow out my opinions. I do agree there are some tracks I didn't think really fit the scope of the album, but they had elements that were still rather descent.
