Heheh, I feel that way too, but my anime experience is that big..
I really love the anime, the manga and the soundtrack too - all of them are really great. All songs from the soundtrack are great, though otherwise I never listen music similar to this..
I especially like "Yakusoku" sung by Yui Horie, both versions of it.. and
"Nyamo-chan no Uta" is great too, again both versions.
Currently I'm reading the manga.. It's great, too bad, that I've seen all episodes of Love Hina .

Yes. The ending a lot better in the manga, imo the anime leaves way too much stuff opened :/

To be honest, I don't know about the price of the manga.. Maybe check out the internet shops for it, amazon for instance.
I ain't japanese myself, and I can't speak practically any of it(BAKA BAKA BAKA!), though I read it in English(and I ain't from a English-speaking country as well). It's been translated pretty good, since it's really hard to translate a whole manga, everyone can understand a few mistakes
But actually buying it would be the best thing to do ;(

Okay, personally, the anime suck compared to the manga by far. The only one I like is the Christmas special. I have all 16 books (0 to mugendai) and that's good enough. The translated mangas are more expensive than the original as far as I know. Here in Australia costs about $27, so I reckon that's $19 in the States. I'd bought the original since it's quite cheaper.
Tokorode Shun, put up a spoiler warning' next time why don'tcha? It is still probable that not everyone here knows LH fully, (though I doubt it myself).

have to say that FLCL is one of thise animes that gets the extreme score of either end, either crap or good, im very unsure about it therefore and would probably watch it when i have the time to d/l it.

maybe you should have read the titles? if it says RAW it hasnt got subs, or maybe it's an .ogm or .mkv in which case you have to switch the subs on maybe. if otherwise the fansubs are just evil.

I finished reading the manga(took me 3 days), and I agree with Caddberry..
The manga is great, when reading it it's like "oh, that's why!".. It's great reading it while listening to the anime's soundtrack, especially at places where the songs REALLY fit.
Love Hina made me think quite a lot :/

Haha, that just sounds so moronic now
I guess that I liked the series a lot when I watched it, but now when I think about it.. I dislike the series. It's purely built on ecchi and lame comedy, which more or less sucks. I guess that it's what you call a newbie's anime, easy to understand and gets you addicted.
I might even consider rewatching it (or maybe re-reading) to see what would be left of my current opinion, heh.

Love Hina.. Something's wrong I do not know what to type, and I'm clueless on what to do, too.. All my life I've been serious-minded, quiet, and hated being involved with anything that could make me seem weak. That's just who I was, how most guys are right? Ever since I watched the anime series, "Love Hina" I've been changed entirely, to anyone else I'm just a fan, and this is what happens when one becomes a fan, like the rest of you, eh? But I can barely sleep, and when I do I dream of-you guessed it, Love Hina. I know none of you care to hear about this, but I just feel like I have to confess myself about this. I don't know how much longer I'll be mentally able to move on with my life if Ken doesn't produce the rest of Love Hina season 2 or a Season 3. It's as if viewing Love Hina had a similar effect on me as crystal meth or something more possibly addictive. I'm going to continue typing these messages on every forum I can find for the sake of my fucking sanity. Why doesn't Ken Akamatsu continue with Love Hina!?.. that's the single biggest question in my life at the moment, I'm even tempted to drop out of my college and apply for Tokyo U. seriously isn't that fucked up?? For those of you who have read this far, and agree with me about ressurecting the Love Hina series just toss me an e-mail at: Velacroix@aol.com
..P.S. to those of you who think something is seriously wrong with me... well there could be *shrug* but what do you want me to do about it? lol..
and to those of you who want to suggest to me watching/reading any of Ken's other work, I'd like to, but.. I know it'll never match Love Hina, and honestly... nothing ever will!

HOLY THREAD REVIVAL
I don't know if you have read the manga or not but it rather ties up the series; so there is really no need to continue. And because I don't know if the spoiler tag is for the anime or manga

Uh... (- _ -) Narusegawa To reply to Freddy C. and Ryan's post, well I'd like to add... WTF
You don't like Naru?? She's been mostly confused and lonely throughout her childhood, if you know how that feels you'd understand how hard it is to trust, much less fall in love! It's what gives Love Hina such an envious and beautiful story. A cute girl with a violent temper and issues, hard to love and even harder for her to love. Keitaro strives on, and when he thinks it's hopeless she feels guilty, loneness, and chases after him time and again. I cannot find the words within my english vocabulary to explain how beautiful their relationship is, it's something I feel like I've dreamt about a long time ago, but discarded because it seemed too unreal and perfect.. but now after watching this series it's made me incredibly envious and sad. Wow.. I've gotta learn to shorten my replies ;_;
My point was that, if you just find a quiet place, calm down, watch the entire series and pay attention to the entire story, every word, every emotion, and how the potential of love fights on through any difficulty or damage to become realized as true love, as true love is meant to be, and that Naru and kei-kun's characters are perfect for the story. Ken Akamatsu is a true genius.

No I haven't read the anime, I'm trying not to until I know for sure XEBEC will not produce further of the tv series.. But I'm dying to read the manga! Even still.. my patience will continue to endure the wait until I crack. You say it pretty much, "ties it up" in the manga, hmm.. I find it hard for me to say that I can ever agree with Love Hina ending, but.. I know it must, as all things do, I just hope it's enough. AND HEY, if it isn't enough I can just wait until my death and "hope" heaven is the continuation of Love Hina, lol! (^_^)

Ummmm.... Zachary Naro,
Please refrain from double posting, there's an edit button below each of your posts so you can add to what you've just said.
Secondly, in most cases this is called thread revival, where you've taken a thread that has long since died and in this case this one was over 3 years old. I know there are only so many Love Hina threads, but please try and post in more recent posts or on occasional just create another thread for new discussion. I'll leave it open for discussion because this appears to be the only thread for general love hina discussion, but make sure you don't double post from here on out.
Thanks,
MIKE

The Love Hina story IS finished. The manga was fully written, and it has a rather nice ending to it. Everything you could ever want. No need for a petition to finish it because it is finished.
I mean I already mentioned it earlier in the thread.

Perhaps the petition is to finish the anime? Well whatever.
What's the point of comparing Love Hina and FCLC? Are they even comparable?

Lol. If you can get an admin to okay your patition, then it would be allowed. We don't allow users to post sites, mostly because if the site had illegal content, we could get sued by the licensee holder.

the reason it was removed was because when people post petitions on the forums, that in itself are a form of advertisement. An example of this is that there's no real difference between a user promoting their own website or a user promoting a petition they have created. And if the petition wasn't created by the user themselves, putting up posts on forums asking users to sign it is a form of advertisement itself, and not getting permission beforehand will result in the links being removed.
Actually i thought the show had a decent enough ending to it.

This is not the place to do that-which is advertising and as far as I know Love Hina has been finished atleast in the manga-so go ahead and read the manga..and what I have heard manga is better than the anime..

Actually, I think the anime ending sucks, it leaves it at nothing really, sort of hanging. The ending to the manga is far better. So, Vortex, if you still want some more Love Hina, read the manga, if you havent yet, I promise its worth it. I also, after a suicidal day of pure Love Hina, I was completely hooked, I needed more, more, and more! And I was satisfied with the manga

i agree that the anime end leve you eith an ??? but the anime itself its not bad it´s just a good anime. having a lot of tittles to choose having the same plot. just as you said you have to read the manga to see it further and realize how the directors and people envolved in the anime production left some things in the air
