@Enfarcer I agree with Freddy. Berserk is a must see for a person who likes action. Another I'm may introduce you to is Wolf's Rain.

@Savage Monkey - I just checked out Koihimie, reading about it in Anime NFO database... the reviews show that its right up my ally :
"This is it's true value. It's a great, almost heartwarming (almost) little story, with a lot of nicely done vanilla sex packed into both episodes. It's straight, affectionate male/ female sex, with no rape, bondage, watersports, tentacles, or shemales to be found. "
, it is on my "to watch list" now also.
Bardack (#52583) wrote:
Fantasy? Like the Lord of Rings or the Wheel of time? . No, no, I don't think so. Maybe it is only a question of tastes but seriously I prefer seeing people cut girls' heads than tentacles and demons abusing them. I'm more sensitive about certain things than other.
That's a bit restrictive isn't it? I didn't at all mean "fantasy fiction" as a genre or film or literature. I meant, as explained by the first definition of Gurunet: "The creative imagination; unrestrained fancy. See synonyms at imagination."
It's imagination - in real life I'm not cramming tentacles into girls. In real life I'm NEVER going to see this happening. It's something that's different, and therefore interesting. Who wants to see very standard sex in anime when the reason for watching is to get off as fast and as hard as possible? People can see this material all over the place, so hentai-anime is exploiting the fact that it can do ANYTHING because it's animation, filling those gaps in the sex market. That's why it has a strong appeal.
The feeling portrayed by what you said is almost like saying "violent video games cause violent crimes". I pretty sure you'd disagree with this statement, right?

Well it's mostly action but deep down somewhere there are a small part romance too. Other than that hmm... nah. But it's good. I recommend you to watch it. But you should read the manga afterwards since it explains many things in the serie.

The region 1 dvd (USA) for the Koihimi 2dvd box set costs 299,00 kr + shipment 50,00 kr. So its 350 kr.
(about 60 dollars)

These are NOT things you should ask ladies .
It seems i'm the only one I didn't like it. Well it doesn't excite me even a bit a boy who goes around f.....g girls like he was eating candies. And he didn't make me laugh.
Well if he had been a girl (and the 4 girls still girls) my opinion could have been totally different .
It seems this is becoming a hentai recommendation thread (I admit I gave my fair contribution).
SERIOUS ANIME
I need your HELP since I'm short of animes to watch. I'd like to see some not childish anime with at least a decent plot. I don't search for something in particular. To give you an idea, here there are the serious anime I enjoyed most. If you know something similar I'd appreciate your suggestions.

I don't know Bardack but I'd say Wolf's Rain since I think it's a rather serious serie. Hope that helped you a bit.

Hello everyone, and sorry to interrupt. Can anyone tell me if there are any good animes out there that are not kiddish, but at the same time dont have extreme violence, nudity, and drugs ? I know I asked this before in the wrong forums, and i got good suggestions too. But when i went to buy Twelve Kingdoms, One Peice, and Hunter X Hunter, they were all in Japanese. Does anyone have any other suggestions ? The only animes I'v ever watched were DBZ and The Vision of Escaflowne. Thx
PS: It CAN have some violence, but its mainly nudity, and drugs i dont want. thx alot for bearing with me *bow*.

@zorin-if you have those series on DVD,they should definetley have english dub as the secound(in most cases as main) audio stream-check the option of your player,or just install latest version of BSPlayer
@bardack-try FMA,Haibane renmei(if you like sad and santimental series, and yet serious-thats your anime),PlanetES(thats only if you like sci-fi animes, whitout the stupid action in it-its just pure sci-fi),Grave of the Fireflies(its old,and if the animation doesent bother you-you have to watch it,its about a brother and his sister and how do they try to survive during the ending phase of the 2nd WW in japan),Voices of a Distant star a.k.a-hoshi no koe(well, its basicly a love story, its not something ultra serious, but its kinda sad and heavy to watch-in case you like stuff like that),SEL(its damn serious, and totaly confuzing)
i guess that you have already watched atleas half of those, but i just cant guess wich one have ytou finished

Ill give my suggestions and favourite series just for the fun. These are series that not everyone likes, but try them out if you are interested.
1. Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (yeah I know most of people love it and for a reason, I recommend it for everyone)
2. Hajime No Ippo (The best sport anime I have seen. It brings out emotions and its really great to watch)
3. Gunslinger Girl (Some people like it some people dont. I think that it was great. It really brings out some interesting issues and the characters are quite deep for 13 episodes, they seem human)

Yeah, they are all great animes.
I particularly like the way one of the girls disassembled her pistol and assemble them back on again in Gunslinger Girl.

One day they will make Dragon Lance in to an anime.
How about Record of Lodoss War. There are quite a few dragons there.
