Kaitou Jeanne - Bandage episode question sooo confusing - cultural thing? I'm super confused about Kaitou Jeanne's season 1 #21 episode when there's that whole thing about marking Jeanne's cheek with paint and then the next day the cops check people's faces to see if anyone has the mark on their cheek to match up the information with the identity of Jeanne.
So a lady appears with a bandage on her cheek and she refuses to take it off and the cops insist she does so finally she peels it off but the camera never shows what's behind it - all we see is the cops turn bright red and apologize over and over.
I don't get it. What could be sooo bad behind the bandage? Is this some sort of a Japanese cultural humor? Or is it just some ugly pimple or something lol.
Any ideas?

Hm... Was the woman just some random character? If so, there's really no reason for that. It'd be different if she had a birthmark or something.

A love bite maybe? And she's too embarrassed to show it in public? It makes sense if you think about the nature of some Asian peoples. Kinda shy.

On the cheek? Doesn't seem likely.

You never had one on the cheek before?
Anyway, could be a scar? A birthmark? I don't think these are things one should be shy about or need to conceal. But you never know. Afterall, it might not even be a cultural thing. Just that one single character in the anime who's kinda weird?
